I enjoyed it, but missed out on some of the humor and fun since my Japanese is pretty terrible. It's got some Nintendo in-jokes and the like, and I can see why it never came to the west (you trip out on mushrooms at one point and there's just this quirky Japanese feeling to the game).
Say what you want, this was an okay movie licensed game
