Seriously if someone can tell me if the story is worth I'll get it but if not I've played plenty of other smt games to understand what the combat is for the smt games.
It's quite fun, but a little dated.
Also it's fucking bullshit later on, where casual run-of-the-mill enemies have instant-death spells and setups.

I only got part of the way in but it's interestingly dated about how the internet is portrayed. I don't mean that negatively it makes the game really interesting to see and play. It's definitely unique in terms of an smt story.

It's not terrible but not that good either. The main draw of the story is how 1990s it is, especially if you like William Gibson. Otherwise it's mostly lame excuses to go into a building that turns out to be a bland textured dungeon.

It' s worth it on sale, I'd say.
The story is cool. Basically, it tells of some company that creates an MMO that captures people's souls, feeding them to the powerful demon Manitou.
It's dated as fuck and the dungeon design is a bit lacking, but the combat is standard SMT fare. I enjoyed the retro-future aesthetic, and enjoyed the characters and how they interact, as well.
I picked it up on sale for 10 bux, I think, and I don't regret it. Not the best in the series, but if you enjoy SMT it's worth checking out.

Soul Hackers is one of the easiest megaten games, even on Hard Mode. Nemissa destroys everything. Post game is hard though.

I got this. I think it's a fantastic game and the music holy shit, i think it's one of the best in the series. The story is so so but it just has that 90s appeal. I SAY get it mate, theres tons of demons to catch and fuse. also tons of request to trade demons fo items and other cool shit. it has new game plus and a lot swords can be made by fusing swords with demons. it is pretty cool desu. but if you can get SMT4 instead do it as it is the superior game. you wont be disappointed with soul hackers
