90 is the start of WoD. The purpose of the boost is so you can skip the old content and start right away with the current expansion's leveling.

Clearly you didn't have a proper setup. The missions alone will make you 40k a month if you have everyone with gold find. Time consuming but the inn lets you recuit people with them. Not to mention lvl 3 inn gives you more gold missions.
Enchants always sell so thats' a decent money maker. As well as tailor bags which you can shit out 1 every 2-3 days if not faster if you farm some extra cloth.
The crafting upgrade system was a gold mine on the AH to take advantage of just selling savage or fel blood. Or creating the upgrade items to sell.
The garrrions shit out gold if you have them setup properly.

Create the armor and weapon upgrades to sell then. I ended up buying some myself cause the truesteel set looked nice in silver. Transmog sales are always a thing.
You can also run an enchant hut and DE stuff to sell the mats. Or run the lvl 3 building to make the good ring/neck/cape enchants to sell off.

What's the funnest class
Who is this for? Returning players or new? Lapsed players always have free trials available if it's been longer than like 6 months, and I was under the impression it was longer than a week. New players should absolutely not get a free level 90 boost since they will have no idea how the fuck to play the class and you can't really jump into endgame with no knowledge. And whenever Legion comes out, WoD will be free so that's not much of a boon either.
