That's the other thing is the sheer amount of music. There's so much that you can't possibly remember all of it, and some tracks are even missable. It makes every time through almost a new experience music-wise.
For all its shortcomings FF never seems to fail on delivering an impressive soundtrack. Western games too often treat the music as an afterthought, and it's annoying. Just throw some generic strings over some trumpets, and save piano for sad parts.
Fucking skyrim had so little music you'd be hearing repeats within the first hour. 3-4 hours of music isn't enough for a seriously time-consuming open world 200 hour game.
For the most part the field models are either mostly the same or worse than the original and all of the cutscene models look worse in the remaster.

I don't know, look at those two comparison shots. The remaster has new high resolution textures across the board and higher poly 3D geometry. Aside from the awful, awful faces, every other aspect is superior to the PS2 version.
It essentially comes down to whether you want to have an HD UI, 1080p pre-rendered backgrounds, HDish CG cutscenes, dynamic character shadows, true 16:9, high resolution textures and more detailed 3D models, or if you'd prefer non-nightmare inducing faces.
For the vast majority of non-autists, the overall improvements will outweigh the facerape.

Nah that sounds like a pretty convenient excuse. Saying she can't show any sign of weakness =/= showing no emotion. And she is clearly supposed to be feeling emotions at various points. It's just hard to get because her VA can't convey them well. You can blame lip sync all you want but the voice was still pretty bad, and the circumstances don't change that.
