Two systems got that amount at least. If they coordinate/reinforce I'm screwed, but if not I have a 4.9k stack right there. Anyone know what kind of FTL they use?
>>337486678
First for Trump class battleships.
is it worth to include point-defense on ships or not? what about bombers and shit?
How does Multiplayer work?
Is it sit down and play off and on for a week or does it just take less time to research and build and stuff?
Any good mods yet?
Please im begging you can someone create a mod that adds the Music from LOGH in?
Any modders here?
I can't seem to include a thumbnail when I upload my mod using the launcher's mod tools. Have spent almost two hours trying to figure out how to do this, and you can't change it from the mod's workshop page.
I assume I have to include it in the mod folder itself but thumb.jpg and thumb.png have not worked.
>>337486678
When being a pacifist will work? Alliances, federations and other are shit atm. Literally impossible to play this game unless you just annihilate everything you see
>>337487580
I like the 2D mod that puts all the systems on the same plane, it's not like the height made any functional difference.
>>337487465
Or they could just arrive like a month alter.
>>337487770
What does that actually do?
so basically kinetic weapons are pretty shit? lasers melt armor, missile are great all around unless enemy has point defense, what niche do they fill?
>>337487840
>>337486678
Why do you have such a small amount of builders? Or did you delete most of them after filling the system?
>>337486678
>found Sol, was into other nation territorry all the time, some time in Unbidden too till I fight them off
>they were in space age, after 10~ years they form a nation and send embassies
>probably being a bit scared of my 20k fleets flying around they ask for protection
well it was either I (another human) or some slugs, so I understand them
Also after clearing unbidden portal and clearing bases - have dem colony ships ready. So many great planets free up with already infrastructure installed.
Why vassal integration is so long anyway? Is there a way to speed up?
>>337487882
Kinetic is supposed to wear down shields. The AI is too dumb to ever use defense turrets however so missiles are better.
>>337486678
Should I get Stellaris?
Been interested in it every time I've seen it, been curious about grandstragtegy, should I dive into the meme?
>>337487882
If your enemies go very heavy on shields I guess? Supposedly happens a lot in MP, but not that much with AI.
This new fucking captcha is the worst thing ever, fuck.
>>337486678
welcome to the empire
I have allied with the brown pacifist preachers to the left of my empire, and am sporadically expanding against the insectoid pacifists to my right as he is penned in by another federation member above.
Unbidden have already been destroyed, but ai won't repop unbidden land
all fallen empires have bee absorbed. One has been purged
I want a mod with human only races and different cultures instead of races.
I would do this on my own but am a dirty pirate...
>>337487728
>Literally impossible to play this game unless you just annihilate everything you see
Wow, that's pretty embarrassing for you. It's perfectly possible to play a pacifist.
>>337487882
High DPS. If the enemy doesn't use armor and uses shields, or if he uses neither (for example opting for the crystaline armor) then autocannons just rip him a new asshole.
I don't rely on them, but my capital ships have a few autocannons mounted just because of the insane DPS.
>>337487970
One of them just isn't showing up in the sidebar for some reason. But I didn't need too many.
>>337488027
It's a niche game with serious content deficiency. I'm happy with it, but you could hate it.
>>337487549
point defense A MUST or multiplayer, early game is torp spam galore
not so necessary against ai but I always put two on my cruisers and one of my corvettes
>>337487870
All the systems are aesthetically up and down randomly on the galaxy map, so depending on your camera angle some systems may appear closer or further from you, which may make them appear in your territory when they're not, or out of your territory when they aren't, it just puts all the systems on the same horizontal plane to make it easier to spot their exact positions. Doesn't functionally change anything.
>>337487882
Lower power cost, I think?
But maybe tied with missiles.
>You wish to integrate us into your empire? Very well.

>>337488604
materialistic or militaristic.
How do YOU, personally, use sectors?
I just dump planets that go over my planet limit into a sector and keep rest of the systems in the area for myself to get the minerals and energy.
>>337488756
Once you get a big empire there's really no reason to manually control anything but the handful of planets you use for shipyards, the AI will develop everything else eventually.
>>337488756
I make blob them geographically and by empire
if I take a fallen empire, I make a sector from those systems
if I take an empire with 4-5 planets I make a system
otherwise I just have a north, south, east and west sector with maybe a central one, then I let them redevelop tiles and tell them all to make energy
>>337488756
Same, I just put finished planets in a sector because I have no reason to interact with them. That said, I build up planets slowly and mostly focus on tech, allies and vassals rather than personally controlled planets.
>>337488756
not sure yet honestly, for now just forming tons of new colonized planets into sectors, giving them tons of resources, making sure they use all shit they developed for themselves and check how they'll actually develop now on then and increase gathering resources from them.
I wish there was an easy way to mass build/select spaceports in sectors tho
>>337488848
I am still in the early game but have managed to vassalize 8 empires. Does it have any use to integrate them into my nation?
The combat AI of vassals are pretty good. When I declare a war on a new nation my vassals basically win the war for me gaining another vassal.
Kinda hate the planet limit though.
>>337487563
Its like any other paradox game. Host controls speed and you save and host loads save and you join and chose the faction you played as and continue.
Depending on size of map and number of AI's it can take several days to weeks. Also depends how much you play.
A friend of mine are 13 hours into a medium sized map and we just beat the unbidden. Still 14 others to take over and we are around 20 of 40% planets colonized.
>>337488756
I have all my planets in sectors with the exception of fleet staging areas and ship production spaceports. I have 3 staging areas and 2 production spaceports.
>>337488848
The sector governs literally cannot upgrade Colony Cores and Administrations.
Enjoy your teir 1 town halls forever.
>>337489005
I wish I could set my sectors to colonise planets in their area that sity with a certain habitability
>>337489182
that would be quite good too, but I think the problem is that if it'll be poor world, it'll just inflate the research cost. and overall productivity of sector.
>>337489105
it costs 25 influence to remove a planet from a sector, just remove it for 1 second, start the construction, give it back
>>337486678

>>337489297
>create sectors to not have to micromanage
>still have to micromanage anyway
>>337489358
Yeah, tho I still probably prefer AI governors instead of micromanaging each planet
also if you use governor leader for whole sector - it'll give whole sector a bonus, won't it?
>>337489343
I know right? I was actually pretty suprised mine died. Incidentally it happened almost at the exact same time I stopped paying attention and my fleet admiral exploded.
I'm thinking about dropping the $40 ($30?) on this game.
Is it worth it to buy? Ie, is the multilayer not shit?
Also, how long are the games? If 1 single player game can't last at least 10hr I'm not rly interested.

Just starting out, thinking of attacking the guys just to the right of me (I'm the blue guys in the middle).
What ship count / techs do I need for early game war?
>>337489474
Yep, that's the main saving grace for broken sector ai, having a governor on every planet.
>>337489524
Game time varies and I'd say the start is based on luck. I've had one game end super quickly for reasons I don't even understand but my current game has gone on for quite a while.

>>337489474
Yeah, AI governors are great for dealing with planets you have no interest in dealing with but they're horrible at getting planets sorted in the first place.
>>337488607
Tried that, didn't work.
It seems like everyone on the workshop but me knows how to do it, and yet I cannot find anything about it with google or on mod forums unless it involves a different game.

>>337489615
>>337489821

>>337489636
Hyperspace. Gives you acces to whole map from the start. And it's fast. Despite having to follow pre-made paths.
Wormhole is neat but you're gimped to one point on the system you have ot jump to and from.
Warpspace is good but on maps like 4 arms you can't jump to the inner/outer arms of your own from the start.
I like to send a science ship early far far away and map out dangerous systems and other factions and research the "gamma, beta, alpha" shit as fast as i can so i don't have to later.
>>337489568
Pretty sure they completely ignore any influence point costs. You can have billions of frontier outposts in a sector and it doesn't do anything.
>>337489701
CTRL+1 etc. You even start out with a few keybinds, your home planet, army, construction and science.
Also use ALT to see all resources and habitabilabsabs planets without having to select constructor/colony/science ships
Took a while to find out about the ALT key.

the ai can dwarf the unbidden but just refuses to fight them
it makes no sense, the ai should all gather together to gank the unbidden, maybe make them dclare war on them defacto if they are on the unbidden's borders? with no end warscore.
Also, buff fugginh unbidden fleet sizes, 3 17k stacks are nothing at end game when you have 60-50k armadas of fallen empire tech to use

How do i destroy a faction that wants independence?
>>337491778
just keep building that sweet navy up, and make sure they don't captue any planets. Unless you've modded the game you can't recapture them and the only why to "cleanse" the planet is by nuking them with orbital bombardment for decades
>>337491793
Make the population happy, or grant them independence then purge the planet and resettle.
>>337491503
I had a honorbound warriors ai empire fight off the scourge by themselves, and then they dedicated themselves to patrolling infected sectors, killing off fresh spawn. Even had a few transport ships in there, obviously confused at bugged event.
Then they managed to snatch a queen, and I smacked some sense in them by means of vassalization.

>>337491527
What makes you think he is going to pit one battleship against 450 ships?
If we go by cap, one battleship is equal to 8 corvettes. One battleship can very easily kill 8 corvettes.
The difference is mainly build time and cost, though other things like evasion and weapons research factor in since some weapons are restricted to large slots. You can't equip lances on corvettes.
There are other things as well, like how battleships have inherent armor which can be boosted by 50-100% from modules and research, and that battleships can be equipped with auras.

You use Battleships as powerful force multipliers, they are not the core of a fleet.
Corvettes are so fragile I almost just want to replace them with Destroyers instead.
But yeah, building an entire fleet of just battleships is dumb. At the same time, not using any battleships is also dumb. If nothing else, get one and give it the +5% hull repair aura. Frankly I think it's worth it for the numerous large weapon slots alone, large weapons are a fuckton stronger than smalls and mediums.
>>337491778

>>337492348
Building just battleships is pretty dum, but in my opinion only because of how absurdly long the build times are. Unless you also consider the cost too high, but for me late game I was making 1k minerals per tick late game so that was not an issue unless I wanted to build battleships in a dozen systems at once.
The auras are really great so you should at least have a capital ship with one of each, but after that either full on evasion+hull corvettes or lance battleships is great.
I have noticed that fleets of nothing but corvettes move much faster though, so personally I stopped giving them aura ships just so they could hunt enemy fleets better while my battleships wrecked enemy core worlds.

>>337493058
Building battleships is dumb if you're losing them, but if you have planets with the specialist things that give huge bonuses to weapons and shit then there is no reason not to build battleships there to form the core of your fleet. They'll be really powerful

I was pretty ok with 20k fleet, their bases don't do any damage to me.
Easily gone to the portal and killed rest of defenses (30~k fleet split in 3 parts) and killed off portal
unbidden space doesn't vanish, you need to kill all bases then manually. after you kill bases - space becomes neutral - you can colonize planets once again.

you need about 40-50k
you can just warp to the portal, they will send 3 17k stacks to stop you and then ou should be able to close it
the galaxy will love you for a while, and nobody will bother to reoccupy the remnants of unbidden territory
Has anyone even tried playing with largest galaxy settings?
Seems like everyone so far is playing normal settings, which is fine, I'm just wondering what its like.

40k-50k is overkill. just get good ranged and shielded ships and you are fine. 15 battleships didn't suffer any losses from all unbidden fleets.
>>337493382
My pc can barely handle medium galaxy lategame。
>>337493382
literally unplayable mid game
even medium galaxies become stutter fests, and as the crisis factions don't balance to the galaxy size you end up with 100k ships against their measly 40k by the time they arrive.

Swarm are shitters though, they have pretty poor tech and get rekt by a halfway competent fleet.
>>337493462
Exactly.
>>337493723
yeah, just go thru portal. probably most sequre way is to find and destroy 1-2 fleets of unbidden before by one, just to be safe.
portal itself may spawn something when you get to it, but in my case it was only 2 fleets around 4k size
>>337493841
But it wasn't in the late game, it was quite early.
>>337493626
better be safe then sorry, you probably could do it with 30k but I would be wary on my ships layout and tech level
>>337493723
honesty 40k is fine, you don't need your allies
>>337493732
what makes swarms hard is their numbers and the fact they can reproduce from planets, coupled with the fact that unmodded you can never truly kill them and have to rely on bombardments that last decades to purge them means that even their initial snowball is enough to cause an unbeatable blob unless you nip it in the bud

So there are 3 crisises in the game right?
I never make robots so sentient AI is not a problem for me and the Unbidden seem easy to beat.
What about the scourge, is there some kind of trigger mechanism for them? They seem pretty scary judging by the things people say.

>>337494719
Scourge is by far the weakest.
Point defense makes them less dangerous than any of your neighbors.
>>337494865

The option was off all the time
>>337495169
huh, well that's disappointing then. thanks for heads up. I was planning to conquer fallen empire tommorrow
>>337494719
scourge is the deadliest but I haven't been able to find a trigger for it
they basically puke out about a 30k initial vanguard wave of ships to occupy planets that become swarm factories which you cannot take back without nuking them into tile blocker oblivion.
After they have established themselves they send a 2nd wave of 100k, and they along with the units raised by the captured hive planets capture more planets
then finally you get a 3rd wave with the queen (who you can catch and use to spawn your own hivelings) that effectively seals the deal of snowballing the galaxy
if you don't stop them early they can simply outproduc you, because the time it takes to exterminates one of their hive planets leads them to raise another army
ai uprising is the second hardest depending on whether you roll ai for colonising or production. It's more of a multiplayer disaster as players will rush ai synthetics for the production bonus and then watch their empire implode. Single player you don'y need any ai so it's a mute affair.
final and least dangerous are the unbidden, they only spawn 3 17k stacks and forts regardless of size and effectively can be beaten by a single kamikaze attack on their portal
I guess I'm fucking blind, but I don't see any way how I can upgrade defense platforms/stations to a new design.

What is even the point of big ships? They're less resource efficient, they're bad at fighting small ships, and have no noteable offensive advantage whatsoever because range is irrelevant. The best way to deal with small ships is more small ships, and the best way to deal with big ships is small ship, and the best way to orbital bombard is to mass small ships. The only situation in the game where small ships get punished is in minefields, and minefields suck anyway.

I have to have a big military because the empires on either side of me are such assholes.
Despite that, I'm hopelessly outclassed by both of their militaries, I tried invading both of them but despite some initial victories I got raped so hard I had to just reload my save.
There's a ton of unclaimed territory around my sector but I can't make any claims without any resources, and one empire is starting to swoop in on them.
What the fuck is the deal with credits? I do everything I can to focus on getting more but km constantly in the red. I'm pretty much gonna have to start over because I'm just so incredibly fucked at this point. Also what's the deal with influence? Battleships are actually much better than a fleet of corvettes.
What you failed to understand is that large/medium turrets suck against small ships and small turrets suck against big ones.
A battleship loaded to the brim with small turrets with powerful shields and armor absolutely fucking wrecks a fleet of 30-40 equivalent leveled corvettes and costs half as much to produce and maintain.
While that same small turret battleship would suck ass against one that is entirely loaded up with large turrets.
A fleet of destroyers with the large turret on the front is incredibly deadly to battleships though even if it's loaded out with small turrets.

Are you positive the gate is complete? Sometimes fleets will attempt to use gates before they're done, or will keep trying to use a gate that's already been cancelled or destroyed. If you try sending them directly to a system in range that you're positive has a functional gate, you should be able to at least get the fleet back.
Maybe not though, wormholes are the buggiest on top of being the worst FTL.

Don't lie to him.
>>337501793
You go to war, take 3-4 planets, and then wait 10 years. Then you do it again, and piss off the entire galaxy into forming an alliance against you the next time; take another 3-4 planets. Repeat ad nauseaum until the entire galaxy is buttfucking your capital or you have succeeded.
>>337501793
very slowly
the end game is a massive slog
>join federation
>wait a decade to become president
>fight other federation in god king war
>get 3 planets
>wait again another decade
>rinse and repeat
paradox really did not see their end game through
>stutter
>disappointing crisis that doesn't scale
>fortresses become useless
>diplomacy become a case of forever peace of federation peace which only the players break

There's already a mod to implement 40k factions and portraits, maybe we time we'll also get ship models.

Are you fucking retarded? You can build multiple specialized classes of battleships and there is a clear advantage in doing so.

>>337502615
I never said about being jack of all trades. just adding a bit to help at close range. just few Point defense turrets help A LOT in my current session instead of refitting your whole fleet over and over again.
sure, be a shipyard specialist after playing less than a week if you want to.
write a wiki or something, fucking guru
>[muffled ayy lmao in the distance]
>>337502615
why do that when I can simply spam corvette destroyer fleets and smother you in cheap trash?
>>337498607
A good reason to use sectors that I can see is that if you give a frontier outpost to your sector, it doesn't deduct 1 influence from you every month. So you can expand your borders infinitely by spamming outposts like that.
this is my empire. I'm finding it very anoying that I cannot relocate newly conquered slaves to planets in my sectors as they could all use more pops while my core worlds are full.
>It take's longer to make robots than for my normal pop to grow.
ffs what's the idea behind robot colonies or robots at all.
>>337494865
Sector AI was a mistake. Its caused me MORE micromanaging than before because now I have to remove planets from sectors fix what the AI is doing or more often fix what they AREN'T doing. Then re add them back to the sector.
They never build special buildings like the monument of purity. They never fucking upgrade the administration building.
I'm positive I know the reason too. They probably just copied regular empire AI and set some restrictions. The reason they dont build those buildings or upgrade the administration is because they have no influence.
God stupid shit like this ruins games.
>>337503290
You can build multiple robots at a time
Empires are the way to go. I do so hate elections.
>>337503321
I always fully upgraded my administration buildings before giving them to the sectors. The reason they can't upgrade them is because it costs influence, and sectors can't have that currency.
>People complaining about core planet limits
Do you faggots not understand that is the entire point of the game? You are limited in how much your government can directly control; it represents the entire process and point of government bloat and makes larger nations more fractured and hard to manage which is the ENTIRE POINT.
And then not only that but there are government and technologies that improve this limit directly.
While the AI could always be improved I am always completed flabbergasted how people here are rallying at a realistic, necessary, and not even that bad of a game mechanic. Why are you always so full of shitters, /v/?
>>337503290
robots produce more, and the more you research them the bigger the bonuses
if you were to just go all out on ai research and robot colonies you'ed end up making treble the minerals, research points and energy then relying on organic colonists.
That's why ai rebellions are a bigger issue in multiplayer, people know having a ton of them is a risk but to be competitive their a must
P.S, only synths give a buff to research, just use normal robots for minerals, energy and food until you research synths
>try to take a planet from some fuck right on my borders
>sparks a fucking galactic-wide war because lel alliances and vassals
>moving ships from system to system and occupying planets in the weaker empires
>all of a sudden get this popup about AI overthrowing their masters
>think to myself, 'oh that's pretty cool that something like that's in the game, wonder if it will actually amount to anything'
>check the fucking galactic map and half of it went dark
>get a message from AI "We're coming for you"
>>337503534
I wouldn't mind sectors if the AI wouldn't ruin my production in them.
>>337503040
Because that cheap trash is shit compared to a small turret loaded battleship.
Destroyers with a large turret withstanding, those are always deadly to battleships, but again weak to corvettes and fighters.
>>337503001
>instead of refitting your whole fleet over and over again
Or don't be a retard to begin with by building a bunch of ships before specializing them for specific roles.
>>337503534
The only shitter is you senpai.
>>337503534
For a fairly casual game /v/ really sucks at stellaris
>>337503534
for me there is a critical flaw in that sectors do not generate influence and as a result will be forever stuck with shitty buildings
either give them a way to generate points OR let us manually build influence buildings even in sectors
otherwise players have to much of an advantage over the AI given players can do the revoke planet, build upgrade, give planet back thing causing their sectors to be vastly superior to AI sectors
>>337503502
That needs to be fixed. The admin buildings require so many pop on the planet. When you have 15 planets growing slowly you have to add them to sectors.
Know what would fix this? Make sectors manage themselves but still let players give orders. So that if something DOES need to be built its one or two clicks rather than unadding doing it and readding.
How do I get stronger and different ships? What techs should I be looking for?
>>337503040
I think you're missing the point that a battleships upkeep is equal to about 11 corvettes, that BB only needs to kill 12 corvettes to be cost effective.

Theoretically at any time.
Unbidden are only tied to jump drives. Any fallen empire can set them off.
The Swarm will only show up past 100 years. Its like a 1% per month it will trigger.
The A.I.'s only require sentience and an empire who treats them like shit. You can have synths and all the A.I. Tech but if you treat them good they wont rebel. Because of the RNG with techs and the empire needing to be dicks it can take awhile but still possible to happen as soon as they get sentience and with regular robots.
Why do my battleships just stop moving the instant my fleet goes into combat? They also never fire a single shot. Do I just have too many ships that the AI can't handle them or something?

AHAHAHAH FUCK YOU XENOPHOBIC FALLEN EMPIRE SHITS

>>337507179

>>337507475

I'd scrap them, but then the game would scream at me and take away my money.
WHY THE FUCK AM I BEING PUNISHED FOR WANTING TO RUN MY EMPIRE?
>>337507324
The reason the AI doesn't attack them until they are attacked is because their values aren't set right. The devs wanted the AI to use crises events to their benefit. To let them eat the big guy on the block then federation up and crush it or to put a token resistance up so they can say their strength to snipe planets while you do the fighting.
The problem is the values or something must be off because the AI is just retarded with them.
>>337507678

>>337507678
The whole point is that they're too large to be efficient, that's how real empires work.
Once you're to the point that you're using sectors, the ~25% of income you are losing to sector control shouldn't be an issue.
>>337507928
Do sectors can be put into "segmentum"?
>>337508021
I have three sectors, and I'm at a point where taking one down would drain my energy reserves in a few months.
I want to fix them, but I fucking can't.
>>337507825
After the war, he demanded that I abandon ten colonies near his systems.
Hheheheheheeh.
And then everyone in the galaxy pretty much joined all the alliances they could. It will not save them.
>>337507678
It makes a lot of sense from both a gameplay and a historical perspective. The problem is as of now the sector AI is just broken.
>Cant spend influence so they cant upgrade admin buildings or build special buildings
>Will replace superior buildings with weaker versions if you dont have the tech
>Puts robots and aliens on the wrong tiles because it cant into bonuses and modifiers.
They should make it so you can lock pops to their tile unless they migrate or something and then make it so you can still build things if you want to. I need monuments of purity on planets. I need admin buildings upgraded. They created MORE micromanaging by making me constantly unadd and readd planets.
>>337508279
Earlier on, I infiltrated this primitive society and annexed them.
Then they won the election, promising to free themselves.
Nah. That didn't happen.
The game is seriously lacking in high tech shit
>can't build ringworlds
>can't build fallen empire level buildings
Fuck's sake paradox this wouldn't be hard to do and it would do wonders for the late game
>>337507125
It's actually going pretty well, strangely enough.
These are all my original system; homeworld's to the left of the diamond. The two worlds in the right one were orbited, had their spaceports destroyed... but then nothing. The southern one I'm currently counter-attacking and it was actually taken; infested worlds, can't invade or recolonize, r i p. Same happened to the homeworld, I think.
Still can't really compete with them, but they keep sending ~20k stacks into my ally's territory. My ally can't deal, but I can... and I've gotten neutronium armor, swam launchers, and swam missiles from them. So doing alright.
Worried about the alleged 100k reinforcement stacks popping out of nowhere and tenderly loving me though.
>>337508452
How the fuck do you fit 22 armies on one planet?
>>337508175
You can wholesale delete a sector for 100 influence each sector, and redraw them.
>>337508541
If they really wanted to fuck my shit up senpai, they'd expand west through the tiny little buggers I was at war with earlier. Well, not 'tiny', but unteched and poor. They don't seem to be bothering though.
>>337508659
That isn't the problem.
The problem is that the Sector AI isn't doing jack shit.
I've upgraded the facilities on all my core worlds, and my sectors are sitting on their hands letting their worlds fall into stagnancy, while the rest of the Imperium suffers from their incompetence.
So haven't even prepeared fleet for war but in the idle state as it is right now - I'm superior towards the pink colored civilization - I need to exterminate them in order to hopefully join a federation that is at war with them.
How could I do that? Do I propose war and select to give all planets then make a sector out of them or what's the most efficient way?
>>337500002
Nothing wrong with savescumming when you're learning a game.
>>337508873
I do savescumming to learn what technology an enemy uses - declare war, let their fleets invade my space - learn what weapons they have - reload save then prepare for war properly.
I wouldn't do this if there was an actual way to spy their technology or something
What's the best galaxy type?
>>337508851
Yea you're doing something wrong, cuz my sectors are developing hardcore. I'm getting almost all of my research from my sectors (research focus) while my controlled planets are mostly assigned to energy.
Am I going to regret helping these guys again?
>>337509076
There is an actual way to spy on their technology. You fight them.
>>337509164
Then what the fuck am I supposed to do?
I see no way to develop the sectors besides dissolving them and doing it myself.
>>337508851
You have to start a sector with the financial AI, and periodically cycle the sector AI to financial so it generates enough energy to upgrade all the other facilities. Otherwise you end up with their planets colonized with too few power plants to upgrade everything else.
>>337509359
Just forget about them. You wont be worse off than the AI.
>>337509245

>>337509359
Do your sectors have resources? They probably have nothing so you should give them some sweet sweet NEET bux.
>>337508664
So how long do you gotta nuke 'em for?
>>337508330
I'm sure they can get influence from somewhere, or maybe spend from your influence pool, as my rich sectors all have admin buildings, and I'm sure I never manually upgraded them.

Try switching between finance/industrial, and be sure they have power, sectors don't really do much without power.
>>337510000

>>337510951
The highest range is 60 so they're the same but torps are slow as shit whereas the lance is an instant fucking.
>>337510951
No, the benefit of torpedoes is that they avoid shields 100%. If someone uses shields, the energy lances are not great because shields work against them.
If you had a choice of only one of the two, you'd probably be better off with torpedoes. Since they work fine against armored ships and specially fine against shielded ships. Although it depends on how prevalent shields are.
So, I've been thinking of getting stellaris but like /v/ does it makes me have different opinions. How "shit" is stellaris?
