I do think the character in question probably has to make at least ONE appearence on a Nintendo console, doesn't have to be a major one, though. It could just be coincidental, but Sonic, Snake, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Ryu, Cloud and Bayonetta all have atleast made one appearance on a Nintendo console, so I still think that might be a criteria.
