The Order: 1886 was a sacrificial lamb. Gaming press was getting a lot of heat at that time for inflating review scores so it was the perfect game to give low scores to "prove" to the public that they still had some kind of "integrity".
It's honestly disgusting how on-rails this fucking game is. Like I played neo-Tomb Raider and it baffled me at how simplified and retarded they made all her platforming, but I can now see the inspiration. You literally cannot fail platforming or climbing in this game unless you intentionally jump the complete wrong distance. Outside of climbing (which is 85% of gameplay), the rest of the game is slow walk/talk segments where you occasionally press a button prompt or mash for QTE. Is this modern video games?

i guess ill be the one to say it, these arent qtes outside of the button mashing triangle, the final boss will attack from either left or right and 2 buttons are mapped to respond to this, press triangle when he attacks left and circle when right, these prompts dont appear on screen and his attacks get switched up as the fight goes on

I think it's fair to call Until Dawn a movie because that was clearly the intention. That's why they hired so many well known/semi-well known actors. Still it's an enjoyable experience (thought I thought the monsters were kinda shit) and it has replay value. uncharted is no where near as scripted as people build it up to be especially 4 which only had a handful of scripted setpieces(the clocktower, the car chase, and honestly thats all that come to mind) while the rest of the game was either large open areas in vehical sections and big areas for stealth and action that dont hold your hand, its cutscene heavy but the game has a ton of gameplay and far more than the previous 3 games did.
