I used the Great Machete on my first playthrough and switched to Yhorms Great Machete later on, the game is definitely doable with those slow weapons, but you can only hit most bosses once unless you stagger them like Abyss Watchers. Just don't get greedy, the PVE definitely favors fast weapons though

Fight him like second phase SoC. It's a very similar fight. Keep a medium distance on him to bate out the jump attack and roll forward under it, turn around and whack him once or twice. If you're good at dodging you can easily sneak in hits in close range but his timing is really weird so if you get into the zone you're going to fuck up because of the random delays.
Honestly he isn't even insanely hard, it's just that "The boss is the camera! Also there's a dragon I guess" makes you so fucking angry that you're going to fuck up against him. When you beat the camera boss just spend a bit getting into dodging his attacks to re-adjust. He'd be the best fight in the game if it wasn't for the shitty camera in the dragon segment. Generally there will always be at least one message next to the dragon statue in the dungeon saying try gesture. It's pretty obvious once you find the gesture in the castle what you're supposed to do. He has 2 combos that are effectively instant kills since they stagger you so long you can't dodge the second hit. When he does the ground lunge attack I recommend just keeping your distance and not taking the chance to hit him, since that one is usually followed by one of the two combos. The other one you just need to dodge since it happens randomly at close range. Just keep at it, you'll get him.

Don't know what people are so salty about. I love the blind playthrough. It's something fresh and different from his usual content and you can see the world with him kinda through his eyes for the first time, which is pretty dank. ENB actually put it quite well this video. NPCs are shit as they always were, but youd just expect better by now.

In good game design it is.
Design of level, placement of enemies and items, everything has to have intent and design behind it.
And Dark Souls is generally good with that. Item shines draw your attention, sometimes for progress, sometimes for trap, sometimes for shortcut or secret side area.
Sometimes you are shown vista of area where you go soon, so when you are there you have vision of the place's layout and have that much easier time to navigate it and sometimes the game shows you a place you have been already form different agile that reveals an secret.

I really do miss those days of ENB and AGS being the top of their game for Souls. I just hope ENB does more LPs of games his likes, instead of catering solely to Souls. I did like that one game with the ice samurai game he played, and did more of it.
I also REALLY liked his Witcher 3 LP, which I also hoped he did more of. Then again, after The Baron and the aborted baby, I can see why he may not play more of it.

He didn't always used to pontificate as much as he does now. I have to admit, his DaS3 playthrough is kind of annoying. How he stops to think about every little detail, while missing the big obvious in your face things, is starting to get to me. Also, how he punctuates his slow lagging thoughfulness with a curt "hm".
