I really hope not. I don't have all that much hype for it but it would be real nice to have a game I can spend a lot of time doing whatever I want and just explore at my own pace.

It's not Interstellar. Interstellar was very realistic (until the end).
In No Man's Sky planets are literally closer together than the moon is to earth.
No Man's Sky is more of a traditional sci-fi (which is fine). Interstellar is Hard sci fi (albeit on the lower end).

It was honestly pretty weird that they went with a big name actor like Peter Dinklidge to voice act the majority of the game, when the story was so bad. Hell they could have had a literal who voice it and it wouldn't have made a difference. I mean none of the lines even conveyed emotion anyway

It's a great game for kids, plus the creature creation tool is very well made and funny to use.
Sadly, if you want more in depth gameplay, it's disappointing.

The story got gutted in post. They used whatever material was left to glue a Frankenstein game together.
Lots of people left the studio, including lore guy and the composer. It got so bad they had press events with Paul McCartney months be or release, with no gameplay footage

The worst part is that it had good lore, but the only way to see it was to download their companion app and read it on your phone. It made the Taken King reveal much cooler if you knew the lore from the app, but then they just fucked their system up in favor of Microtransactions, AFTER I PAID 40 BUCKS FOR THE FUCKING EXPANSION.
