Its v2 It can be bypassed due to a bug.
All the games with v2 have been cracked so far.
ITT we praise based denuvo for making piratecucks butthurt
>>337352649
What's more interesting is that no "must have" game uses Denuvo. The only game I can recall was MGSV, and that got cracked.
>>337351684
The multiplayer is forever constrained by snapmap and the single player is doom.

>>337367950

why this is*
Fuck
>>337367413
I havent gotten around to it but I assume MGSV can be pirated. The thing I recall is that whenever someone claims their DRM will stop piracy, the people who crack things react like pic related
>>337367950
Because rental games don't cause massive chargebacks on developers.
>>337368148
And used games?
The only funny thing about denuvo is watching /v/ as games are released . If a game has denuvo on pc you hardly see any threads vs a game w/o.
It's a bittersweet feeling watching you guys get assblasted that you cant pirate games but also that I myself cannot
Doesnt matter though the only games I invest time into anymore are all multiplayer

>>337368414

>>337368210
Used and rental games are one of the same. Retail markets benefit because they make pure profit from selling them. To publishers it's like pirating, and while they won't make any money from it, it won't get them in unnecessary hassle. Of course their greed makes them go after used games.

Good thing this game isn't worth being pirated. Why is it that Denuvo is always implemented with shit games that aren't even worth the time or effort to pirate them? >Mass effect Andromeda
>Doom 4
I wouldn't have bought them anyways, but I will still be sad. Not sad enough to pay though. How do people afford modern gaming with all the bullshit extras like DLCs and etc. I have to pay $80 maplebucks for the base game and then then devs push all their DLC on us that they removed from the baes game. Wait cant ROTTR be pirated? Or was that Quantum break?
>>337368929
It was a troll but you made a good point so there's that
My real problem with denuvo is the people trying to hate it "companies shouldn't protect their product" hurr durr ect. There's this sense of entitlement to software, probably the same as the tinfoil hat linux tards. O And another thing I've spent O over 4grand on pcparts at this point and maybe 800~ on games minus stupid cash shop items. its so god damn frustrating to see people budget poorly that they cant buy the games after building a pc so they just torrent shit
Whats stupid isnt denuvo but the people trying to make it out to be a bad thing
>>337369690
Not enough interest.
>>337369292
Wasn't variant 2 cracked?
>>337369563
Actually, the reasons why I think tumblr is less worse than 4chan has less to do with the attitude of the users of either sites.
You're never going to know exactly why anyway. Like I said, you're not worth it. The fact that you're trying to justify your existence and feel threatened by a post from a complete stranger is proof enough.
A mix of Denuvo and the general lack of interesting games has made me forget I'd usually want to pirate a game like Doom but the thought didn't even strike me until I started seeing these threads.
Now I wish I could though.
>>337369623
Your post here is literally just, "you're dumb" with no substance.
People don't have to prove "worthiness" to asking a simple opinion on an anonymous Taiwanese clay pottery forum. Nobody is less "worthy" of knowing than anybody else. Why don't you just answer the question you fuckwit.
>>337351968
what does /v/ think of superbunnyhop?
>>337369690
ROTTR can't be atm. They found some steam family sharing trick, but the game has Denuvo v3 which is the current problem.
Denuvo v2 has been cracked (MGS5 and Batman arkam knight), doom is using v2, so there is hope doom can be cracked.
Quantum break was creaked on release, but you have to have windows 10.
The real issue isn't whether you can get it working now, it's whether you can still get it working ten years down the line.
The original Ultimate Doom and Doom 2 remain popular because measures have been taken to make them playable on modern systems. They had to tamper with the exe to do this, which id software sanctioned by releasing the game's source code.
Is that going to be possible with this game? Cracking it is a hurdle that will have to be taken down the road to make it playable.
>>337369813
Your attitude is considerably shittier than anybody else here.
>You're not worth it
Asserting it over and over again makes no sense anon.

>>337369658
Actually for a non-deranged person, it's pretty coherent. You want free stuff, thus you're a whore. The fact that I have to explain it is more of an insult to your mind than the insult you criticized. Good job there, kid.

Thing is, Denuvo prevents a lot of things such as modding that isn't just cheat menus, when it's not improving sales.
Remember DSfix?
If Dark Souls had used Denuvo, it would have remained a 30 FPS locked, 720p piece of shit.

That's really funny because the team that was making the JC3MP mod had to ask Avalanche help because they couldn't even start working due to Denuvo.
The best ''modded'' Denuvo game is MGSV, and all it's mods are character replacements and glorified cheat menus.
>>337373338
Who tried to make MGSV mods but couldn't because of Denuvo?
>>337373138
Well the latest Dark Souls games aren't friendly to modding without having Denuvo.
My issue with efficient piracy measures is implementing them in consoles. Overtime some consoles are not going to be made anymore and overtime no console will be left to work. So emulation is necessary.
>>337373291
>muh projection
>u momma
>uses emoticon to hide his higher stress level
You're really bad at this.
>>337373391
It's a fact MGSV can't get modded further than the barebones cheat menus it has because Denuvo prevents tinkering with the launcher, thus preventing script extenders, thus killing 90% of all mods.
Thus what you have, at best, is what MGSV has.
That's why JC3MP is still in limbo.

Why are you believing in people blindly? You don't understand the technology.
You don't need to bypass Denuvo for modding. Other modders haven't had much of an issue. It's more a matter of a competence. Anyway, you should have made the point that Denuvo lesses modding because not all modders are capable.
>>337375131
Oh yeah, don't worry, the guy in charge of making the JC2MP mod, and that it's trying and failing to make the JC3 version of the MP mod is lying.
>Other modders haven't had much of an issue
Funny because there's no modding in any Denuvo game apart from texture reskins, cheat menus and character swaps.
>>337375243
So you just admitted that you don't understand anything relating to modding and denuvo.
>there's no modding in any Denuvo game

>>337375461
But the fact is there are obstacles that occur from denuvo that do not occur from other forms of drm, or indeed, no drm.
Is that correct?
Every single thing we've seen about Doom 4 since its first announcement has been a giant red flag and we're somehow still supposed to care?
>>337375596
Denuvofags pretended Hitman and Far Cry Primal were worth something.
That should tell you everything.
It's funny how desperate they were for DaS3 to use Denuvo for months and they inmediatly dissapeared when they got blown the fuck out.
i pirated doom 3 and quake 4
>buy quake 4 when i saw it at 4€
>still regret wasting 4€ on it
sure i care a lot of buying or playing doom4
>>337375771
Far Cry Primal is horrible. I barely see or hear anyone playing it anymore.
Hitman is... Alright, but comes with major performance issues in crowds. My GTX 970 can barely handle it on the highest settings when in a crowd it drops frames.
It's not anything note worthy though, once you're done the main mission they just give you a bunch of other 'side-missions' that become monotonous.
>>337375532
You're saying that you don't understand. If all you're doing is simply quoting someone else and you're incapable of explaining something in your own words, chances are you don't understand something yourself.
I know that you don't go to university. But if you attended let's say an electrical engineering classes, as annoying as a professor can be when asking questions, they do it to see if you understand. And they get a lot of people like you, who will quote the textbook or someone else (in some cases the prof himself) verbatim. That shows that they probably don't understand the matter at hand. I see tons of people like you throughout the year.
>>337375591
Making things a little harder and preventing (i.e obstructing a scenario completely) are entirely different things. This post >>337373138 was talking about preventing, which isn't true.
There are issues that make it for some modders harder to mod when there is no Denuvo or DRM. Yet, those games have lots of mods. The problem is what's behind (or in front) of the screen.
Why not just buy Doom 2 for $5 and play a good game instead?
>>337351684

I don't see anything in this post that points at Denuvo not harming modding capabilities.
>>337379193
They didn't get cracked, exploits were used to get around Denuvo. Those exploits have been fixed and now there is no way of getting around it and no one is able to crack it. Everyone has given up even trying.

They fucking said they're supporting snap map only and dropping mods. Holy fuck you kids are delusional.

>Denuvo. Are we the only scene group who are working on it? Apart from shitty P2P shit, our Batman.Arkham.Knight-CPY, Battlefield.Hardline-CPY, Dragon.Age.Inquisition.Deluxe.Edition-CPY & Lords.Of.The.Fallen-CPY worked well, didn't they? Our methodwas blacklisted, unbelievable, hm? With this READNFO, we would give all known scene groups (CODEX, PROPHET, RELOADED, SKIDROW) courage. We have to work together. Denuvo is a shitty protection, our simulations are done. Let's do it!

Welcome to 4chan, newcomer. Since you're from reddit, you need to know there are no downvotes. If you feel like you're being bullied, just close the browser and go back to what you usually do (since you're a redditor that means jerking off to cuck porn).

Why can't pirates crack denuvo? Is it because they'll get detected and thrown in jail?
Or is it too hard? Doubt its that hard.
>>337381046
But you fucked up by not replying directly to my post to begin with.
You're not really bright and you're showing that you're new to this site. I don't have a problem with immigration to 4chan, you just have to accept that the site is better than where you came from and that the board culture isn't going to change for you.
If you weren't being so worthy of an insult, I wouldn't insult you. My first replies weren't insults until retards like you came in.

because its "hard" to crack
its not really hard, just requires patience, and since most games released with it havent been any good, scene groups dont even waste their time
the only good games with denuvo have been cracked, keep that in mind
>>337381276
It is rather hard. It uses a combination of starforce-type virtual machine plus a public-private type encrypted bits of data based on the machine hardware.
>>337381374
Calling someone new to the site, details the workings of reddit. You just take the cake on the levels of autism.

>>337377394
those companies are literally the companies that'll be the last ones standing though.
So many smaller video game studios have either been absorbed by the larger companies (only to be slowly dismantled later on) or been forced to close due to poor sales, but the companies you mention are the only ones with a secure enough revenue stream to keep operating even if the industry as a whole starts tanking.
>>337381774

If you're over the age of 18, I'm sorry to say that it's not going to get better for you. It's too late, you're stuck with being a retard for the rest of your life.
and so the trend of every denuvo game being shit rolls on
>>337382309
You can't spell shill without shit

Ah, but I don't trust this generation of PC-gamers. Most of them came from consoles and have absolutely no standards when it comes to good PC-games.
>>337382802
Consoles had better games than PC you dumbass.
Nothing on PC came close to the best of the SNES, PS1 and PS2 era.
>>337382086
Oh wew lad, my bad. Do as I say not as I please?
Sadly, something tells me you're over the age 30 mark and have nothing better to do than project how sad your life is onto others. That poster was right about you. Oh wait, you ignored that completely.
>>337382948
PC absolutely obliterated the 5th gen of consoles.
>>337382989
>thinking that someone being over the age of 30 is bad when the average age of gamers is in the 30s.
Wow, that's a whole new level of retardation. I'm not 30 anyway, not that I would mind being 30 or older. But I don't need to be older than you to call you out for being a retard.
Also
>whines about projecting
>does nothing but project
So generic.
>>337382948
PC has better FPS games, like Doom, Quake, Half-Life, Unreal Tournament etc
>>337383043
yeah seriously, while consoles were going through a weird transitional era in the late 90s, PC was having a fucking golden age
>>337383043
It didn't.
>>337383302
FPS is a shit genre plagued by rehashed crap like Call of Duty and Battlefield.
>>337382948
Yeah, that's why I don't trust PC-gamers today.
I bet you didn't even tried a PC-game before 2000.
>>337383257
Did I say being over 30 is sad? I said you're more than likely over 30 and project how sad your life is unto others. You did it twice with age and reddit.
"I can use generic responses, you can't" That's original.
>>337383354
Yeah, it did. While you were playing your Nogames 64, Loadstation 1 or セガサターン, PC was getting one all-time masterpiece after another.
>>337353329

>>337379716

>>337383520
>Did I say being over 30 is sad?
Yes, you retard. You should read up on conjunction in logic, since it's evident you have no understanding of that simple concept.
>sad life
There's nothing sad about reddit, kid. I'm going to repeat this since you're too incompetent to understand, it's okay to be a newcommer from reddit. Just keep the reddit shit outside of this board. Whatever you do outside, I don't judge, mmmkay?
And I didn't use any generic response. Calling others for projecting though it's itself pretty generic, especially when you were projecting everytime.

>>337383947
Denuvo requires a server ran by the publisher and/or denuvo itself to activate your game. And it requires that the denuvo database is constantly updated with keys for every CPU on the market.
Take a guess how many past DRM schemes just like denuvo are still online today.
>>337383889
You really are just beyond fucking dumb, like it amazes me. I said your life is fucking sad dip shit, you don't even have basic reading comprehension.
You started off by saying I'm from reddit while explaining more details about reddit than I know. You sit there and say you fucking know this shit because of people like me, instead of just owning up that you go there to.
You're as dense as a fucking boulder. Than you're trying to use my own argument against me by saying "I'm the one projecting".
>>337384361
Instead of being so angry because someone rightfully called you out for being retarded, you should start by not being retarded.
I'll take it back about you learning conjunction in logic. Nah, even learning something so basic will be impossible for you. Seek treatment from a neurologist. Maybe they can do something about your lack of synapses (I'll let you google what that is).
>Than you're trying to use my own argument against me by saying "I'm the one projecting".
Don't think too highly of yourself. You don't have any argument, neither can you tell if someone is projecting.
Pic related is you.
>>337384797
I'll take that as your surrender good sir, someone without basic reading comprehension shouldn't be arguing in the first place.

It's impossible on the most fundamental level.
