But to the point, can anyone give a honest answer how Terraria plays with friends (online)? I think Minecraft works at it's best with imaginative people online. Single player is basically shit without interactivity imo.

Finding certain items with friends is easier since you will probably split up, bosses are 'easier' but also more difficult (more hp).
Imo, terraria is more fun with friends but that can be said with anything.

i once built a railroad full with stations in the first half of the map on a medium sized world. Me and my friends used it to farm Queen Bee at some point. it was awesome. still have that world, good times

Get Master Ninja Gear, just the Tabi,or Shield of Cthulhu. Use grappling hooks before hitting the ground when falling or in midair in caves and walls as a means of dodging.
Suddenly you get a lot more mobile especially in boss fights

Its fun but plays more like a co-op game.
Due to actual difficulty its fun exploring underground with friends.
Especially digging hellevators.
One places the rope and lights whilst the other digs.
