If you're in a team chances are you get paired with other teams. I was in a team with just 1 friend and we got paired with another team of 2 people and continually fought a team of 4. The extra 2 slots on each team were lone players because they were shuffled around each game.
Same with level, if you have a high level you'll be paired with a team of similar level to your own most of the time.
Problem is though when playing in a team is half the time we raped the other team because we out-coordinated them or we got paired with an infinitely more coordinated team and got our asses handed to us. This was only a problem when playing in teams larger than 3 people though.

Quality of OW maps leaves much to be desired too. Especially the old ones like Gibraltar or Hanamura. They're full of chokepoints with no alternative routes. There also virtually useless areas like the one between the first and second capture points on Volskaya. No one ever organizes a defense there, there's never action going on in there. It exists just to make the defenders waste time getting to the first point.
Although the new maps improved a little in that regard.
I quite like Nepal (except the Sanctum) and Ilios.

Blizzard hasn't really been on a very good streak as of late. They've likely burned up a massive portion of their consumerbase's good will on all the schlock they've put out in recent years, and I really have to wonder what the hell they're going to do once Overwatch is out. Overwatch matches are between 7-12 minutes long. Easy to pickup and if your team sucks it's not a huge time waste. Evolve was 20-40 minute long matches

The game was fine at the start albeit some balancing issues but they worked and tweaked on it. Then suddenly 2k games started launching massive amounts of DLC everywhere out the wazoo and the pricing was stupidly high that people just got turned off by having to pay an overpriced season pass(every season pass is overpriced anyway because they're basically interest free loans to the company) and $5 USD for each new character not to mention all the skins so that's like over $200 worth of shit right there.

Well overwatch is 33% less than Evolve. But these differences I mentioned are huge. Evolve's cash shop was not an issue, the game play itself was. I spent dozens of hours in Evolve, and I spent many hours during the free Overwatch beta. I can guarantee you that Overwatch will have much more lasting power than Evolve.
Everyone I joined a game in Evolve, it felt like a major investment in time and energy. And a lot can go wrong which will cause a snowball effect in the game that can't be recovered from, leading to early quits.
Overwatch is so carefree and fun, matches are short, you can completely change your team composition on the fly, and the action and levels are tight. It's going to be a huge success.

How so? All the characters that are parallels to tf2 characters are just more complicated versions. For instance, mercy is medic, but she has to alternate between damage and healing instead of just holding down left click all the time, doesn't have the luxury of invincibility for defense and must use her shift to evade danger instead, and has to time resurrects correctly to get the most out of them. There's a whole lot more to pay attention to when playing as mercy than there is when playing as medic. Playing medic in tf2 is a snoozefest in comparison.

Pharah is literally a dumbed down version of the Soldier, she is specifically designed for people who are too shit to play that class properly in TF2.

As someone who played it the game feels really addictive. I think it's because the short respawn times combined with big flashy plays give it that "just one more time" feel since you always feel like you can pull something off.

What is your problem? She is literally my strongest character to the point it's not even fun to play her most of the time. Just because your bad with one character doesn't mean the game needs a rewrite. I know I'm not the only person who can play her well.

She's not meant to be played as a frontline tank. Try playing her when you have another tank on your squad and flank your enemies until it clicks. Health pickups are also a must.

I'm genuinely amazed that it got so popular.
Now hear me out here, right, so I was hyped as shit for OW myself, and I had been pissed for so long that I never got a beta invite or a chance to try it.
So the open beta comes out and I jump right in and play nonstop for the few days it's out. Turns out that 20tick alone makes the game completely unplayable and straight up infuriating for me to play.
And I can not understand how other people can find fun in it despite 20tick and press Q to win match-gameplay. 20tick is worse than 30fps lock.
I was looking into buying the CE, but now I don't know if I want to try it ever again. I'll probably buy it on sale in the future if it still seems alright then.

Just because D.Va is your waifu doesn't make her good.
She has shitty damage output compared to other flankers and melts in a second against a competent player. Her point-defense ability is also extremely situational and her ultimate's only function is to clear a point for a couple of seconds, because only a retard gets killed by it.
I like her and I've played her a lot, but she's definitely one of the weakest characters in the game.

There are better flankers who can get more kills without using their ult. Tracer, Reaper, Winston.
Like, as a Tracer or Reaper, I can flank turret bastions and kill them before they turn around and mow me down.

and see, that comes back to the focal point of the problem. There are characters who fulfill the same role much better, and make D.Va into a one trick pony of using her ult.
Do other heroes have really strong ults? Sure, but a Hanzo is still useful before his ult is up, sniping people and getting his sonic arrow out to reveal enemies around corners. That's handy.
A Pharah is still going to get a lot of kills just with normal rockets and mobility.
D.Va without her ult is impotent vs virtually every hero in the game. Surprised snipers, that's about all she's really good at taking out on her own.
