Understandable, not to mention the 30th Anniversary press conference was garbage and didn't release any info on XI.

Constantly having trouble figuring out where to go in DQVI DS. Figuring out character builds is fun though. Was it a bad move to play 6 before 5 or 4?

The series never had momentum in the west aside from the short period that Dragon Quest VIII and IX got advertising. If anything, the fanbase has stayed the same size, despite a 4 year drought of no DQ games. And the idiocy of SquareEnix blocking the games has actually rallied a lot of sympathy support for the series. Its not out of the question for the remakes of DQVII and VIII on 3DS to sell around a million. Even more if they actually get advertising support from SE.

There's a good chance that Horii was forced by SE execs not to reveal much about DQXI. As not to overshadow the hype for Final Fantasy XV, which will be releasing before DQXI.
And because despite what a few shills say, Final Fantasy is really struggling to stay relevant. Both in Japan and the west.
I thought DQ Heroes is alright. I enjoyed the fan service. It is more tower defense, but still musou. No generals to protect.
DQ Heroes II looks tight though. One big world, big adventure. I am ready.

Hopefully we get DQHeroes II in the west. As well as the dozen other games we've missed in the last 6-7 years.
We fans are willing to spend the money. Hell, if Dragon Quest X had come out in the west near the Japanese launch, I would have already spent some $450 on it by now. With expansions and monthly sub costs. Why don't you want my money SquareEnix?

Same guy you replied too, I personally already (pre-)bought DQH2. We are lucky most DQ games are being released on PlayStation.
