Time limits were never meaningful in the first place. It just makes is harder to hit all the right events to get all the endings at the end. With laxer time limits, you can hit all the right events without having to go through new game+ multiple times.

As opposed to having stores magically clone them and resell them to you like in the Arland series? It was too easy to make ultimate weapons/ equipment and clone them in the previous games due to stores being able to do that for ya.

Nigga, from someone who played Arland series... all you fucking do is use a fucking item. That at the entire combat with alchemy shit. And I barely used items, only saved them for bosses.
The new alchemy system in Escha and Logy is also based on using items... except I don't have be so reserved at using items since they restock automatically once I get back to town. I actually used items way more in Escha and Logy than any previous games before of this.

And this is what made the combat good and fun to me. The previous games had way more boring combat. Swapping characters in and out is what made the entire difference needed to beat many battles in this game. I found it really good.

Imported it at JP release. I'm not that big of a fan of Atelier, but this one was very laid back compared to the previous ones. Alchemy isn't that bad and it can still be challenging end game. Will probably get mixed reactions from fans.

So do I. Assist attack and assist guard really made a difference especially in the harder areas and especially at bosses. It actually made combat somewhat fun. It added more depth and strategy to the fights.

I beat the black dragon in Ayesha without preparing or even realizing it was the hardest boss in that game. The only fight that need any plan is Beast King, and that plan is nuke him before he buffs himself too much and starts killing your guys and self healing.

People will probably complain a laid game Atelier is too boring or easy but... to me, it sounds great. These are very soothing games after all. I liked to whittle the days away, calmly synthesizing things or planning the next month in advance.
The time limits and such made things a bit harder and more urgent, sure, but they also made me feel like I was supposed to rush. But I didn't want to rush. I wanted to stop and smell the roses.

That is bullcrap. The only thing Time Limit ever accomplished in Atelier games is forcing the player to play New Game+ just so they can get all the other events to unlock the other endings.
The games were already easy since Rorona. And it's not anymore linear than every other Atelier game. There's always one major goal in every Atelier game.
