Personally, growing up playing PC I hated having to shove a disc onto my drive to play it.
I always did the no-cd patches. Have over a dozen games on my hdd without having to insert discs.

Is there even really that much of a PC game presence in box stores? Around here it's usually shitty licensed stuff like Barbie Horses or some shit for PC games. EvenFuckingGamestop only usually only carries maybe five or ten different PC games and half the time they always have WoW, D3, and Starcraft covering most of the PC shelf space. Hell last time I bought a physical PC game it just had a fucking steam code in it anyway.
