So here's what has me curious.
Now that they've burned up the "Qwark fucks up and redeems himself" plotline in the first reboot, how are they gonna handle him faking being Fizzwidget? Just pull Nefarious out of their ass again?
And for that matter, how will they handle the Q Force in the reboot of UYA? I debated with a friend on this one, I said the best way to do it would have Qwark just trying to round up his own rangers, and have the new Galactic Rangers exist alongside them together, not allowing Qwark back in because he's a jackass.

I'd say the best way to go about it would to just go full Star trek 2009. Full reboot.
At this point, R&C and even Qwark are far different characters than they were after the 1st game. The galactic rangers are completely different now. The Starship Phoenix is now run by Elaris and not Sasha. Might as well start fresh. The next game should be an all new story.

I would too. As much as I love Up Your Arsenal, I don;t need a remake of it. Not to mention, the series was starting to get bogged down in melodrama and continuity fluff. In the last 3 games everything was Dimensionator this, and Lombax that. A reboot allows for us to get back to more simple space opera nonsense.

That fucking sucks. I actually prefer this Ratchet. He's more heroic, less jaded. I prefer this Qwark too. The only character to get the shaft is Clank, but eh, he was always my least favorite of the main cast anyway.

I love platformers and r&c and im glad games like this can sell well

Not quite. Original game is the true story, reboot game is a reimagining with some elements corresponding to the original, while the movie is sort of like the dramatized version of the reboot game.
I saw the movie.
I swear to god it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It was so trite, so poorly constructed and cliche. Even the CG was poor with textures often on par with the original Toy Story.
The plot is focused on all the wrong parts. Instead of focusing and building on the relationship of ratchet and clank, it just focuses mostly on ratchet and quark and meanders on through with the other unimportant side characters.
I fell asleep halfway in for about 10 solid minutes in a theater with unentertained children.

Yeah, but we always knew the movie was going to be bad, for the same reason most video game movies are bad. A game has ways of having things like character development and storytelling occur while you're playing. But those can;t exist in the passive entertainment medium of film. So of course a game doesn't translate well to film, games have a whole different dimension of storytelling to work with that film can never have.
