It's just my kind of game. I love slice of life anime, so a game where you just chill at the beginning and then starts picking up is a nice change of pace from the usual action.
I only found out about Falcom games because Ys Origin was in some humble bundle like 2 years ago, too. I loved the game so I bought the rest in a winter sale along with Trails FC.

I don't think it's sold a whole lot based on the FC clear-game achievement stats, but SC's release pushed a burst of sales for FC in addition to undocumented numbers for PSN/GOG. I didn't realize there were different localizations for FC. From what I compared in the first couple hours of the latest PC release and Evo, the localization was pretty faithful for the most part. Biggest difference I saw was when Joshua warned Estelle of a monster behind her and instead of just going "Eh?" she said "It's something with teeth, isn't it?"

Anyone else prefer Machias and Gaius' relationship before they made up? After they became friends it just seemed like Machias accepted being the passive one and Gaius as the dominant one. If Zero gets a fan translation at this point, though, translating it officially will hardly make sense from a financial standpoint, and they really can't just skip to the second installment of a very story heavy duology. Lead dev of Zero's fan translation believes nightwolve's claims that XSeed ripped him off. As such he is determined not to sell the translation. He said that in order to sell he would want like $400k for every single member of his team.
