Nothing.

All the games are great. Even Jax X

they didn't make this
>>
>>337263160
Why did they go full edge after Jak 1?
>>
They didn't made Ape Escape.
>>
>>337263160
They matured past good games.
>>
I just finished Uncharted 4 in one sitting and I liked it a lot. Probably on par with 2.
>>
They're a great developer, in my opinion. I'd like to see them flex their talents a bit and try a new genre out, or make another platformer again, though.
>>
>>337263160
They got greedy and stopped being inmovative
>>
>>337263160
Nothing.

They understand that people like the idea of what they're doing more than what they're actually doing.
>>
>>337265512
And what idea is that?
>>
Didn't they lose the rights to Crash?
>>
>>337267503
Naughty Dog never owned Crash.
>>
>>337263160
You know how Sony is a movie company? They turned Naughty Dog into a movie studio.
>>
>>337263160
They decided they wanted to make movies instead of games.
>>
Literally nothing

Uncharted 4 is amazing just like the Last of Us and Uncharted 2. There last 3 out of 4 games have been +9 so I would say they are still as good as they used to be.

Nothing. They are doing fine, more than fine. They probably have the best technical artists in the whole industry.
Their games are also great.

They might not match your tastes, at all, but that doesn't mean they aren't a very good dev.
I personally couldn't care less for their games, but it would be silly to imply something went wrong. Their games sell well are aren't a MP FPS or sports, that's doing something right. The public loves it.

Live and let live, Anon.

Nothing went right.

Naughty Dog just released another Magnum Opus that will be talked about for years to come.

From whom?

They deliver on good execution and a cinematic experience. I haven't heard anyone praising them for innovation, but then again I don't follow ND news.
>>
>>337268679
>That aren't a MP FPS or sports

You're right, they're worse. At least those games focus on gameplay.
>>

They don't innovate but they make damn fine games.

i firmly believe their current development attitude is:
"you want more gameplay? play the multiplayer!"
campaign had waaaay too few encounters.

>>
>>337273170
That's not gameplay tho. That's just a glorified cutscene that you can't skip.
>>
>>337273947
so you have gun fights in the game too stop cherry picking you retard
>>
>>337273947
well skipping cutscenes in Uncharted 4 takes longer than watching them, so i guess making it gameplay was a good decision.
also story and worldbuilding.
they later GPS track his phone and intercept his messages.
and then also the thing about pen and paper sometimes being superior to digital.
it is there for a reason.
>>
>>337272137
>damn fine games
>casual linear third person cover-based shooters

max payne 3 is a damn fine game, even if its cinematic. Uncharted actual gameplay is the most 5/10 average shit in the industry. It's expected that the casual crowd will like it since it doesn't demand any skill or that you pay attention to anything, but anyone who has played more then AAA garbage should know that they're at best mediocre games.
>>
>>337263160
They left Jak somewhere and bought Indiana jones.
>>
>>337274213

>well skipping cutscenes in Uncharted 4 takes longer than watching them
That's just them making the cutscenes unskippable without admitting it. Max payne 3 did the same shit.

>story and worldbuilding.
>they later GPS track his phone and intercept his messages.
>and then also the thing about pen and paper sometimes being superior to digital.
>it is there for a reason.
not a single thing you posted justified it not being a cutscene. Busy work is not gameplay.
>>
>>337274241
i feel like uncharted 4 has 1 thing in common with vanquish.
if you stay in cover all the time, you are playing the game wrong/in a more boring way.

Immersion

>seeing drakes horribly modleled hands manhandle the phone adds to immersion

great immersion guys
you either go full no cutscenes ever or just go all cutscenes, there's nothing more immersion breaking than flip-flopping between the two.
>>
>>337274504
>That's just them making the cutscenes unskippable without admitting it. Max payne 3 did the same shit.

No, that's hiding load times.
>>
>>337275139
don't know about uncharted 4 but in max payne it wasn't load times
there's a youtube video proving it showing that levels load really fucking quick on pc and the cutscenes still don't stop.

The fact that these games are supposed to be cinematic is what hurts them for me. Even if I'm interested in the story the gameplay is simple, easy and lacks depth. If gameplay can't keep me playing but the story can, the gameplay begins to feel like a chore. Instead of walking into a huge complex ancient temple and seeing that I have to climb a long way to the top in order to get the artifact and thinking 'wow this is going to be awesome' I immediately dread having to slog through an area where I already know nothing happens until I get to the next area.
I would rather just watch a TV show, a movie, or if I'm out to actually enjoy the gameplay, play a better game. This is just my opinion but it's the reason I don't get hyped for or even buy naughty dog games when they're on sale anymore.
>>
>>337277354
If they made a Crash as good as the recent Ratchet and Clank I'd buy it.
>>
They shouldn't have made Uncharted 4.
Not because I think the games are garbage or anything, but because Uncharted is so fucking close to be a 1:1 indiana jones ripoff that it's retarded. Not even Tomb Raider tried to hard to rip off indiana jones. At least TLoU was sort of original.
>>
>>337279724
>Zombies
>original
>>
>>337279796
I said sort of, they at least tried a little bit to differentiate them from zombies. Even though they are literally walking dead 'infected' who aggressively spread their infection by violently attacking any non-infected that they notice.
