Multiple sources are reporting it's gonna be at the Bethesda E3 conference.

It's not like there are many futuristic bounty-hunter games out there, and the environments from the old demo were incredible.

Wrong. The studio in Austin made a huge recruitment in early 2014.
There are bout 150 employees working at Arkane.
70 in Austin, lead by Raf Colantonio (founder of the studio) and 70 in Lyon lead by Harvey Smith.
Prey 2 is now called project Danielle and is made by Arkane Austin.
There are even leaked preproduction documents from late-2013:

Arkane is the only studio making good sandbox games now. Even with markers disabled, Dishonored provides you with all the information via letters or NPC conversations rather than leaving you high and dry.
