I'm the first comment in this thread. It isnt as bad as we make it sound. It was mediocre, but still watchable. Season 1 is a 10/10, while 2 is a 7/10. The movie is good, and you need to watch season 2 to get into it. Watch it and enjoy. Even though the second season is meh, it still beats the majority of ass anime.

IIRC this is how it went down
season 2 had a completely different writer but didnt not have the liberty to kill of any of the main characters from the previous season nor was he allowed to alter much in the world. While a couple of things are a bit more fleshed out, this lack of creative freedom really put a hamper on a lot of things that made S1 good.
I didnt find the movie much better. The engrish really killed it for me, it was killing my ears.

What doesn't make sense is that - If the Sibyl System is run entirely by brains like Shogo, that is people who can kill without clouding their Psycho Pass... Sibyl was clearly shown to know about Shogo, so why didn't it just override Akane's gun to stun mode the first time she encountered him?

Fair enough, I only really started to watch more anime last year, I never really care about it much, I usually just read stuff and whatever I read usually came off images from /v/ such as Koe no Katchi and Mujaki no Rakuen.
Raildex may be shit but it's my guilty pleasure for animu, such as how some casual games I play may be shit, but I still enjoy playing them.

It's all about memory. I've seen well over 600 series alone, and the ones I recommend and consider my favorites are ones that really stand out in my mind, even if it's been years since I've seen them. To me, the worst thing an anime can be is forgettable. Even if an anime is "objectively good" (i.e. Sakamichi no Apollon), it doesn't matter at all if it's easily forgotten.

Maybe try finding the ones that you're fond of regardless of their flaws and see where that takes you? If you go by quality rather than your own tastes, it's more like a ranking of the anime you've watched rather than your actual favourites.

I'd say try and think of a couple you really love, and think about what you love about them, count them up.
For example, if I was choosing between Death Note and Psycho Pass, I'd count what I liked about both and which ever had the most, I'd consider it, say I liked the story, characters, humour and the fact it's really interesting for Death Note, over Psycho Pass's music and atmosphere.
Vidya 3x3 are a lot easier for me.
