if i had the same setup (pc has slightly changed) and the same emulator settings, id get you some screenshots. but im really not, the bouncer was another one that i had trouble getting to look right, had this constant fuzz effect/AA issue on everything. the emulator might of been outdated at the time but still, i spent longer changing settings than actualy emulating ps2 games. not like i have much reason to make this shit up do i?

FF8 got mods? 7 has an extremely dedicated mod scene and it's one of the few games that have model replacements. It's also got an extremely basic skeleton to decode, unlike any game past the PS1 era.
I played FFX at 5x without issue. You're right about the UI but you could play in 4:3 or deal with it.
It's still perfectly emulatable and the remaster is actually bad.

Doesn't surprise me. PC will most likely get whatever the PS4 got in a 1:1 port style.
I can't really argue with any of those graphics though. Yeah, Tidus looks a little potato-faced and Auron looks like they ran his face through an oil-paint filter, but the UI is HD and there's plenty of other improvements. I think all of the enemies got an overhaul as well as map textures which really went a long way in reviving the game.

Can you give examples for all of these? It was just a JRPG dude, the only notable thing it did was make turn based combat above average and introduce voice acting to the FF series.
