Okay, since there is a TF2 thread I'd like to talk about something, mostly MvM/Mann up:
Which sniper rifle is the best on MvM? I have used the Machina, fully charged headshots can decimate giant robots, but someone adviced me to use the Hitman's heatmaker, and it turns out it's really good
I also play Sniper only on Ghost Town because I'm a really terrible Sniper and I need practise
Is the sydney sleeper viable on MvM?

I don't even know what a DM class is.
I've never player online shooters except for the overwatch beta yesterday, and I liked the team mechanics, but I didn't like the game overall.
So I was wondering if tf2 is similar, it might be worth a shot, it's just that the game is so old, the meta must be super developed and I don't know if there are still newby friendly servers around.

Here's how it goes, there are pubs and there is comp
Pubs are filled with people who barely have 2 neurons to rub together and if you have ANY common sense whatsoever you can stomp effortlessly but after a while it's going to get boring.
Comp has players with people who have been playing for fucking eternity and you can expect teams of 3k hours and up players and you have to invest a shitload of time if you want to catch up. Good news is comp is also getting a lot of attention lately from valve and they've been trying to fix a lot of issues. The game itself does have a lot of depth and if you want a challenge this is for you. The question now is if it's too little too late or if it will make a comeback.
By the way DM classes are ones that rely heavily on good movement and aim to do well. Examples include soldier, demo, and scout.

I might as well give it a shot, even in a casual way, and yeah, I guess I mostly play rushdown on fighting games, so a DM class won't be so bad.
I kinda want a revolver type weapon tho, high damage low rate of fire kinda deal, hitscan, and I know that the class that uses them are the spyes, and I don't fell skilled for them yet.
What class would you recommend me?

Revolver on spy is actually a really good weapon, it's just stuck on a shit class. Apparently engineer is going to get one eventually but it's been stuck in limbo for a good year now.
Next closest thing would be scout or combat engineer.
