Tracer is a go-in-go-out who is not really meant to pursue, but to badger, occasionally picking off an unaware players. Scout can do that and stay in the fray since his mobility allows him to put a fuckton of pressure on Demo and Soldier, even if they're pocketed.
In 1v1 situations, Scout is legitimately the most retardedly strong class in TF2.

He's lying. The blink automatically tries to follow the terrain, if there is any. If you blink off an edge, then it goes straight, no matter how far up or down you're looking. You can use the blinks to traverse large gaps, but not if the other end of the gap is higher than the platform you started on.
