I like 3D platformers and I want to buy one of these. I missed out on all of them back in the day.
Which one has the best platforming?
Sly looks like fun, but I generally don't like stealth sections.
Ratchet and Clank seems like it's based on 3rd person shooting instead of platforming.
Idk about Jak and Daxter. It seems like a more edgy Ratchet and Clank.

Sly is the most platform-y out of the 3.
The first Jak is a platformer ala Banjo-Kazooie but quickly switches to wannabe GTA/Ratchet in the sequels.
Ratchet focuses more on gunplay and gadgets but probably holds up the best.

Sly Cooper.
Of the 3, Ratchet and Clank is the only one that improves upon itself with each entry. Quality is consistent throughout its entire run.
Sly dips after 2
Jak is only good for 1 game

Love this meme
>mfw sonyponys think their shit fur bait excuses for franchises are in any way shape or form anything other than complete and utter dirty brown water trash
Rehash bandisloot, shy pooper, ratshit and stank, ballsac and haxtar, isharted and so many other shitty franchises are complete ass and the only reason anyone thinks they're anything close to not the functional equivalent of a heaping mound of garbage is because they were the few games that took more than 20 minutes to beat among the mountain of shovel ware shit that got dumped on the wobbleststion 2 which is all you played with when you were kids because your family was to fucking poor to buy anything other than some two bit nip cuck mediocre DVD player
Fuck off faggots

Not everyone liked GTA Preteen edition.

Are you still furious about your endless drought of no games on your GameCube?
>>337146557
>>337146532
It's true
The complete turn from 1 to 2 sucked ass.
Toy were expecting more Jak and Daxter, but we got "I wanna be Ratchet too" instead.
>>337146706
I love commitment to the bit.
>>337144927
Sly Cooper.
Jak 1 has wonderful platforming, but Jak 2 and 3 has way more other shit that detracts from the experience.
Ratchet is like a hybrid of a classic platformer and a third person shooter, that becomes more shootery as it goes on. It's pretty damn good.
If you're talking about the Vita versions, then Jak trilogy is unplayably bad.
>>337146884
Hahaha this great you're killing me here.
>>337144927
Sly has the most platforming but R&C is the better series overall out of the three.
>>337146557
Good effort, have a (You)

I am. What's wrong with it?

Dumb frogposter.
>>337147206
It's literally a straight port of the PS3 version. It still has toggleable options that don't apply to the Vita at all and the games run like complete shit
>>337147206
Terrible framerate. Like, averaging 15fps bad, with massive input lag. It's not playable
Ratchet on PS2 and PS3 was 60fps; the Vita version is 30fps with dips. It's pretty good and far from unplayable, but it has some glitches because of the port and the controls took a bit of a hit because of the lack of L2/R2.
I don't have the Vita Sly trilogy so I can't speak for that.
>>337146532
What meme? Have you even played 2 recently? It's HORRIBLE
>>337147771
It's not awful. It's mediocre and heartless, but I don't think it's terrible.
>>337146532
Regardless of what you thought of the change on direction, his statement is correct in the context that OP is asking.
If you want a pure platformer, Jak 1 of the Jak trilogy will be the only one to deliver
>>337147940
Replay the mission in the harbor with the police coming after you. Unacceptable.

Thanks for the input, helpful posters.
I think I will start with Sly Cooper because I want to play a platformer more than a 3rd person shooter.
I'll get around to playing Ratchet and Clank sometime afterwards.
I'll also try to find a PS2 copy of Jak and Daxter 1.
