If Dragon Age is any indicator, they'll learn from the biggest mistakes of the last game and in spite of making some old mistakes and a couple of new ones, it'll at least be a substantially better game.

They have gone on record to say that they don't want ME:A to have any DIRECT relations with ME:3 to the point of not even acknowledging it to varying degrees. Yeah, wikipedia it. I didn't like ME3 for more then just the ending but even for blinding fans, they even hate what they did for the very last DLC with the Reapers.
The Reapers are based off a FLESH version race that are the same exact size, basically giant cthulu squids. The Reapers were like the Geth and rose up against their creators, and then (I'm shortening an entire DLC and implications here) decided to save everyone else by doing a Gurren Laggen style and killing off Alien Races/Making them into fluid so they become more and more intelligent to beat back their creators for good.
But because we killed the Reapers, there's NOTHING stopping the more ANCIENT EVIL and from the way the DLC ends, it's basically Bad End no matter what we did for the endings or the modified endings. It was basically a last FUCK YOU to people who complained about their color endings.
So in the end, even after we save the universe from the Reapers? Jokes on you, the Reapers were protecting us from their creators who are Fith Dimensional/Bullshit nothing can stop them fuckery.
