ORAS honestly burnt me out on the franchise. I played X almost every day but after finishing ORAS I didn't even touch a Pokémon game for over a year. A real shame considering gen III was my favourite gen since it came out.

Other way around for me. Still haven't completed XY. In ORAS you find out that both the originals and the remakes are canon, because they both happen in alternate dimensions. No joke. So FRLG, HGSS, and ORAS aren't actually remakes, they're just similar happenings in an alternate universe.
