You underestimate the level of bullshit MS3 bosses put out. The game isn't designed to be fair, it's designed to take your money unless you play it absolutely perfectly. The margin for error, especially on later bosses, is obscenely low. DS bosses are a lot more forgiving.
Also if you want an arcade game that shits on basically anything else for difficulty, just pick any Bemani game, where you basically have to be a fucking keyboard player to be good.
