If you are a solo player you have every right to do whatever you can to maintain your progress.
If you are using co-op phantoms invaders are the only thing keeping you from trivializing a game otherwise designed for single players. If FROM had any sense co-op would be much more aggressively invaded with solo players basically being left alone. Players with 3 Phantoms should be facing what is essentially an unending stream of 3 invading phantoms. Especially if FROM insists on allowing host to endlessly resummon phantoms over and over again. At that point PvE is meaningless anyways as the Host can literally outnumber the monsters.

I'm curious -- You can summon red sign soap stone phantoms when not embered. Can you summon grapes when not embered? Would be kind of neat to be able to summon for co-op when not embered, but having to be careful of friendly fire.

I've been invading round dragon barracks, and it's the complete opposite for me
individuals or groups of two will charge me, while ganksquads won't follow me past enemies are are generally very timid. i have to get real close if i want them to chase me, and outrunning three gankers on your heels is kinda hard

I lost 50 fights in a row yesterday there. On ps4 so the area is laggy anyway, but if a host has phantoms and you touch the bridge the game turns into PowerPoint. 90% of worlds were ganksquads. Most of them were seeded too, even when I wasn't using the enemies. Git gud doesn't even come close, invaders never had to be gaming gods before.
Also had some weird glitch. Invaded a dude and his phantom. Immediately he gets FOURTH blues. A minute later he gets four more. I've never seen this before, I take the summoning system somehow fucked up and summoned people without filling the slot or something. Took one down with me at least.
