If America made it's own version of Final Fantasy what would it be like?
Certain FF games really don't strike me as being particularly "japanesey"
I could easily see FF Tactics or even FFVI being made by a western dev.

There are western games that get pretty high concept. The Shivering Isles, FarCry Blood Dragon, Shovel Knight, even Asscreed has some high concept stuff. I mean his dumb ass white assassins robe would actually fit in a final fantasy game.

He's Cid and he's the MC, cause fuck side characters. There are optional party members and you can choose to go solo without leaving them as corpses on the ground like Squall in FF8 and again, fuck side characters. This is American Final Fantasy.
You can have the trio of characters that include full magic bitch and full muscle bastard, but there is one MC. Your main weapon is your fist because you're a muscle wizard. Your off hand weapon is a Beretta M9 you kept from your service days.
You don't have a little sister. You have a daughter. And you bet your shit you're gonna make sure she survives.
