Dark Souls 2's DLC focuses heavily on Manus and the Abyss, origin of Black Magic.
DaS3 focuses on Gywn and the events surrounding him and the first flame. Manus and the Pgymy, if they're separate entities, are referenced marginally in Abyss Watchers and Wolnir.

Aldrich shares similarity with Nito as they both add to themselves with corpses. All the special enemies in this game have their sets or items sold by Shrinemaiden once you kill them, same with bosses. Killing Aldrich gives you Smoug's set. The game sets you up for a chase, when Aldrich leaves the Cathedral to his home. "Home" leading you to a surprise finding Anor Londo again. And then you find Aldrich where you fought O&S.
The rest is them having about the same bio. Aldrich's skull makes him the same size as Smoug. Smoug ate those he executed and smashes with his hammer. The only new thing we really learn about Smoug is that he was the last man standing at Anor Londo.

Additionally, if we assume that the Profaned Capital is a part of Carthus, it makes perfect sense that the people "once subjugated" would be the descendants of the humans that were conquered by Wolnir, as it was the people of the Capital that asked Yhorm for his leadership.
If Yhorm were the descendant of a ruthless tyrant like Wolnir, it would also explain why he is described as "Lonely Yhorm" in his Cinders of a Lord item. The people of the Capital likely shunned him due to his race and bloodline. It's probably during this time Siegward of Catarina befriended the lonely giant.
There are other connections between the Catacombs and the Capital. Both are underground and close to each other geographically, and both are consistently linked by mentions of pyromancy. The Grave Warden Pyromancy Tome and the Carthus Pyromancy Tome both show that pyromancy had a strong tradition in Carthus, and each dark pyromancy references Wolnir specifically. The Profaned Capital, similarly, is marked by the devastation of the Profaned Flame, which also exists in-game as a pyromancy. Lastly, every area in Lothric is linked to a Lord of Cinder in some way, but there is no Lord associated with the Catacombs.

Ludleth, Abyss Watchers, Aldrich, and Yhorm all linked the Fire. The Younger Prince Lordric was supposed to but pussed out which is why things got as bad as they did.
Ludleth says he linked it and has the lack of legs to prove it. He states the other throne sitters also linked the flame in the past hinting that he was the latest of them all. The Abyss Watchers, due to taking the Old Wolf Blood, all had a single soul with which they collectively used to link the flame. We don't know if Aldrich was forced or not into his role of Lord of Cinder but Hawkwood confrims that he was pressed into the role simply because of how powerful he was. It seems though that Aldrich was strong enough to survive linking the fire and continued to consume more and more in preparation for the Deep.

The problem with all the Lords of Cinder was when they returned to the world (we don't know how - just why) they were not as they were when they linked the flame. Lore Question: Why do the Abyss Watchers fight each other? I've heard everything from the one with the soul has red eyes and is therefore corrupted by the abyss, to Wolnir's Goblet making them crazy. I just assumed they were bored from not fighting the abyss.

Theres far to many inconsistancys with Lords of Cinders linking the flame.
1- Why werent they absorbed into Soul of Cinder?
2- Why doesnt Ludleth have burns anywhere but his legs?
3- Why does Ludleth say Lords of Cinder are just kindling?
4- Why was Gwyn and Chosen Undead not revived like the other Lords of Cinder
My take is Ludleth is right in everything he says.
Dark Firelink is the past, or alternate reality of sorts where Lothric doesnt light the flame and the bell doesnt toll, but Ludleth also throws himself into the embers that remain of the fire to bring around some sort of failsafe. This explains why he is only partially burnt
A Lord of Cinder is someone who has amased many souls, Aldrich devoured a lot of people, Abyss watchers ruined entire cities and Yhorm was an unstoppable killing machine. Lothric was experimented with souls and shared a being with Lorian, whom was a devout knight.
These 4, along with Ludleth are to be sacraficed to bring a sort of gateway to the Kiln for the actual chosen one, which turns out to be Ashen One.

All the Lords of Cinder are out of their mind. They were all brought back from the dead, and it makes the most sense that the Abyss Watchers would have the worst of it, since they're human undead.

So Yorshka calls Gwyn her father, but Gywyndolin is his youngest child, as of Dark Souls 1. So unless Gwyn survived the fight at the end of DS1 and stuffed his burnt shriveled dick into some gal, then Yorshka can't actually be related to Gwyn like this, right?
And Yorshka and Gwyndolin are really close. She refers to the old Dark Moon Blade captain as her brother, she got gifts from him, and that he misses him dearly.
