The issue is that you can drag and drop models, but you can't drag and drop lighting engines.
Native source stuff looks fine in SFM because it's source lighting.
You take anything from another engine, built with different lighting, and it doesn't look right.

Blizzard uses flat shading for all their games, it's their style.
Their artists texture their models very specifically so it looks as intended under flat shading.
You then rip those models and toss them into an engine with different lighting and shading and you're left with textures that look horrifically wrong.
