Fox Engine made the exact same thing, but with a much better 60-fps in both MGSV and Ground Zeroes. And it ran butter smooth 60fps in both Xbox One and PS4, not to mention PC had even 4K output.

Ok I played for about 2 hours I think, I have to turn off the lights to steal the cross in the rod. When does it get good? The game is almost enterely devoid of action, not saying it's inherently a bad thing but when you are not killing the bad guys you are literally doing nothing but walking into straight lines and picking up the occasional treasure/climbing wall rocks.
I had this problem with TLOU initially but ended up liking it by the end of it, the shooting, IA and mechanics were all solid.

The biggest difference is the time of day. The resolution also looks blurrier but the really doesn't change the game to be honest. The number of different technologies that are used in this game in a single scene easily beats every PC game released to this date.

At this point, every time anything bad happens with consoles people jump on the chance to talk because it's the one brief moment of the season that they aren't flooding discussion with "NEVER EVER"s and such. However, every time someone points out a weakness of consoles, they get extremely defensive. It is like arguing with imbeciles.
The next problem, which is not a /v/ problem but an overall problem, is the fact that they exist leads developers to make bad decisions to appeal to them. They have a taste in games that people like those on /v/ hate. Developers want to please them so they add forced autoaim, worse visuals, and in general make it their primary optimization platform while other platforms (including other consoles) get a garbage version of the game.
It's not about the hardware existing. It's about the people that use it. To put it very simply, most of them are people the industry as well as the community would be far, far better without.

I don't. I hate when people act like getting equivalent graphics and performance out of a pc costs $2000 when in reality it can be done at around the same price as a console. All this while getting maxed or near maxed out graphics at 1080p and 60 fps for today's games can be done on builds for about $800. The main reasons I switched to pc gaming from consoles was because of both consoles requiring paid online and poor or no backwards compatibility (made worse by the fact that so many games being made for the ps4 and xbone were remasters of games from the previous gen). As for pc, the huge library of games, customization, extra performance, graphics options, modding, and emulation weren't even things that I really thought that I would care about until I actually started gaming on pc.

TressFX looks kinda good.
For proper hair you need mighty good anti-aliasing thou, and for each strand, we are quite a ways from the performance demand.
Most games nowadays actually do beards kinda okay. MGSV did good beards. Fallout 4 was ok. Not on TW3 but if your standard is DA:I then those games go above and beyond.
I also think MP3 also had a good beard but it was quite a while ago so my memory may just be cheating me.

That's it isn't it. Uncharted makes better use of its hardware. PC games are supposed to target intermediate hardware yet Nvidia pushes for entry and high end. Their middle end is barely capable of 1080P max settings where AMD is far better oriented to it.
