Well, I've only played the first (still gotta finish it), but they essentially play like Super Robot Wars (which is not surprising Namco/Bandai also made the QB games.) but with cute girls and destructible clothing instead of robots beating the shit out of each other. From what I understand, the second game is better as well as adds girls from other games.
Also important to note, they have never been brought to the states. There is a translation patch but doesn't allow quicksaving otherwise it crashes.

There is some comparison of the original game and QB where the original version is some wizened old warrior guy with wrinkles and a hooked nose scowling and the QB version is one of the girls' clothes getting shredded and her boobs hanging out, but the stat table underneath both illustrations are exactly the same.
