I imagined it as being a deeper sort of voice when I played through the first two, but was really surprised when I heard his voice in Persona 3 (Japanese version, the English VA is closer to what I expected, minus the sort of cartoony mysterious old guy vibe he has). Is MC being Fool arcana confirmed yet? It'd be interesting to see him start out as Jester arcana with the Fool ability to change persona (since the only Jester arcana we've had before was Adachi) and either end up reforming to the Fool by the end of the game or possibly going on to the Hunger in the Bad End.
I'd like to see Ryuji not end up being the Magician, but I'm not quite sure what else he'd be, we don't know much about him besides generic sidekick which makes him prime Magician material.
Biker is probably going to be Empress, Futaba is Hermit, Yusuke is Hanged Man (maybe Emperor?), Ann is the Priestess (or Justice), Morgana is going to end up as Fortune, and Adieu is Tower.

You can always just rotate parties, then pick one group that you want to go the rest of the way with during the final dungeon.
It's what I did in P3 and P4, especially because in P3 beating the Reaper + the Monad will get you overleveled as fuck for the last boss.

Rotating parties is definitely more fun. Increases the difficulty a little during regular dungeon crawling but also gives you more options, especially in P3's boss fights where they were often immune to certain elements.

P3's combat system was designed around hitting weaknesses, with the main character being able to swap personas and hit any weakness, but only being able to swap once per turn. Other party members would only have one element. So it was all about properly selecting your personas and lining up your turns to knock down all the enemies properly. This became less important in P4 since you were given full control, but you'd still trivialize the combat if you could swap in party members at any time.

If it's the pacing of the story and everything else, it varies throughout the game after the intro section. Sometimes there's droughts, other times there's so much shit happening you're playing through to see what's coming up.
