What the fuck /v/? You lied to me. You said these games were easy as shit. I beat all Souls games multiple times , I beat Ninja Gaiden on master ninja, but this shit? What the hell?

I platted one and two in anticipation of 4 recently. One hard and one crushing playthrough.

Uncharted 1 crushing > uncharted 1 hard = uncharted 2 crushing > uncharted 2 hard

You really shouldn't have too many problems except in the first one on crushing, especially chapters 4 and 5 and that church bit near the end.

I didn't hit the brick wall like you say but there was definitely a huge difficulty increase when those guardian niggers appeared, and the final boss did take quite a few attempts.

>>
>>337026483
One is a skill-based masterpiece, while the other is a one-shot kill shitfest with cover that flat out doesn't work. If you can see an enemy in your crosshairs from behind cover, then he can also see and hit you as if his gun was a .50 cal rifle. Medium and below is the only way to enjoy Uncharted. It's not difficult because it becomes skill based.
>>
>>337029504
any Ninja Gaiden has more bullshit insta-kill shenanigans than uncharted, especially on higher difficulties.

Here's a clue: on higher difficulties, go for headshots. The enemies will laugh off body shots.

This is kinda true. Some fights in Uncharted are pretty tough actually. Uncharted 1 was a decent game that had way too predictable pacing in the fights. Like every room there had to be a two wave fight whether it made sense for the story or not. And the fight arenas weren't very good. Basically a big shooting lane. 2 was pretty fun though. 3 had ups and downs. Best mechanics and levels with poor story pacing.

How good is Uncharted 4 compared to the other 3? The reviews say that it's a huge jump in quality, like from 1 to 2, but these are the same people who gave MGSV perfect 10's, so I can't trust them. Is it ACTUALLY good?
>>

This one is weird and vague at best. What the fuck does that even mean? That's not a comment about the quality of the game itself, just that it fits with the narrative, which is 90% of games anyway. That's like having a movie positive being "the shots fit with the story".

As for the other ones you can see that Nadine's technique is better than Nathan simply for the fact that she's the leader of a PMC so she probably had a lot of experience and training while Nathan improvises because he obviously had no martial arts training

I have a question for you uncharted fans

Like OP, I got the collection when it came out because the new tomb raider games felt tedious and did not capture the feeling I wanted, which was to be Indiana Jones more or less. Uncharted does a much better job than New Raider, but it still doesn't quite capture that Indiana Jones essence.

I know Indiana was a main influencing factor for Uncharted games, but does anyone else feel the same way?

yeah I think the main reason is that uncharted is set in the present day

and the fact that one is a game and the other is a movie, I think even a full on Indiana Jones licensed game wouldn't be able capture the same essence.

It's the lack on Nazis and true paranormal phenomena that make it feel lacking compared to IJ.

Found the first game unplayable on the hardest difficulty about a third of the way through.
Well, "Unplayable" is the wrong word, because I could probably beat it with enough effort, but it turns into enemy whack-a-mole where if you stick your head out for too long it immediately gets blown off, and certainly stops being any fun at all.
Second and third I could beat on Crushing, haven't tried the Brutal difficulty the collection added.

I like the idea of the hardest difficulty being basically headshots only but you're right in saying the first game was ridiculous
