Actually a great game been playing it almost nonstop since launch. It feels new to me and refreshing to me as opposed to a first person moba it really is a moba fps hybrid. To be fair I did like battleborn better at first. Choosing your build throughout the match makes it unique experience overall. I can actually play like i want, characters aren't lineal. You can aggro with oscar mike or hit and run. You can go on the offense and jump over the enemy line with benedict, or play the gayest way possible and live 1000hp.
Overwatch not so much. Every character is linear, there is no other way to play them. The capture the target and escort the payload isn't that interesting and could be frustrating watching the clock reset again just because some reaper got a lucky 3-4 kill.
But Overwatch does better the competitive(as competitive as a casual fps can be) team play. Characters aren't boring, better maps and gameplay synergy, female are waifuable, bastion gets the job done while mercy and reinhardth get 0 upvotes (which sucks but the mechanic is at least there to talk about). Everything Overwatch does is engaging, and battleborn fails at keeping players interest.

I've been enjoying it a lot over the past days since release and I think the high HP pools make fights a lot more interesting and complex than in other games but it desperately needs balance adjustments, mainly Miko, Galileia and Marquis need a nerf. The PvE mode is bullshit though and I suggest avoiding it - it gets super boring fast.
They also introduced performance issues on some maps with AMD cards that weren't around during the open beta but then again that only affects a minority of players.;_;
Outside Bastion i really like this game. But whoever thought a turret with insane damage was a good idea needs to die.

Its a lot of fun, but there are so many little broken things that need to be fixed for certain gamemodes and characters.
Marquis(sniper guy) can headglitch kill the first sentry on incursion with no repercussion, he is so well hid that you have dip behind enemy lines to flush him out, but that means going through waves of enemy minions, other players and sentry's.
I think the overall balance is fine, but some character match ups are just awful, Toby is a character who designed to camp and hold ground, while pushing back characters with his high damage rail gun. However the crux of his character is that he has a shield that makes his railgun shoot faster(otherwise any character can dodge it midrange), but the shield has so low hp that it gets destroyed after a few shots. This makes any other high damage and long range characters completely and utterly annihilate him. He is also a very large character but has lowest HP of any defender type, meaning the shield is needed to survive, but against the main type of enemies he is supposed to be fighting, he doesn't do jack shit.
Matchmaking is also really slow, you have to redo the entire process if anyone leaves the matchmaking at any point. Matchmaking builds teams first, and then builds matches, which I guess on paper is a way to increase the matchmaking speed but it leads to imbalanced teams and as I just said, if anyone leaves, the process is restarted.
There is a lot more examples of the character balance needing some fine tuning, but overall I say the game is fine otherwise. When the game works its amazing, probably one of my favorite multiplayer games when it does.

I fail to see how this is an issue. Please explain it to me. You equip the gear so you can make yourself better, but by activating it you have to make the choice whether or not you want to be a bit selfish to boost yourself up, or spend the money on buying turrets and super bots. I've seen teams waste all their money on gear and get trounced because the other team used it to boost their minions advance and take out a sentry.

People keep saying this shit, but the simple fact of the matter is, no one fucking died in the games I played unless it was to a melee character rushing them.
During one game, I was a sniper robot against some archer woman. We never once killed each other, even though we shot the shit out of each other. If I even came close to dying (I didn't), then I just walked behind cover, waited a few seconds to regen shields, then went back to shooting her.
As the same sniper robot, I'd throw out my owl which is suppose to do damage to anyone who runs near it, but people would just run through it like nothing. They didn't care, even with 3 of them it was no threat to them at all.
The game is just balanced to give everyone fucking nerf guns.

I've been playing both the Overwatch beta and Battleborn. They're two entirely different games.
Overwatch:

>Arena based with objectives
>Fairly fast paced
>Characters can be switched mid game
>Simple, fun, easy to play, hard to master
Battleborn:

You shouldn't have to spend money on turrets and defenses. Tower defenses and Mobas aren't the same and they don't mix. You've seen this type of failed hybrid before, just think on it.
The fact that there is any kind of tower defense mechanism in a game trying so hard to emulate a moba and hybridize into an FPS with abysmally poor shooter mechanics is one of the reason this flop is so deserved.
Just because you have to make a decision to upgrade yourself or pick up turrets doesn't mean its a good or meaningful mechanic.
