Some pretty blonde, it doesn't really matter. I don't think Samus shouldn't be talking all that much: they might even be able to get away with not showing her face until the end (if they show it at all). They could pull a Darth Vader and have someone else inside the suit through most of the movie, but use a different actor when it's time to reveal her face (if they show it at all).
I remember years ago when they were talking about writing a Halo movie, and something was said about making Master Chief "the most important secondary-character". I think the intention was that, while he was still largely the main focus of the film, he would be seen through the perspective of other characters: we'd never directly see things from his POV. If it were up to me, I think that would be the best way to do a Metroid movie. Keep Samus this faceless automaton, hint at her backstory without explicitly describing it, and let her character be defined by her actions until the big reveal of her face at the end - if they even show it at all.

In my dream Metroid movie, Samus is like Karl Urban's Dredd and just wears her armor for the entire movie, except maybe one scene at the end where she takes off her helmet to say goodbye to the co-protagonist, an original character GSF scientist who the audience uses as an in to the universe so we don't need to see Samus do anything other than be a fucking hero.
