For me biggest problem is no story that make me invested in game, like defending sunwell or revange on Arthas, and questing where I can kill 4-5 mobs in white gear without trying much.
This leads to easy as fuck dungeons where people dont know what CC is so Blizz have to dumb down it or people will cry.

but that will never happen, we're stuck with this mediocre action game with a few lingering rpg elements that happens to have a persistent online world, not that anyone is using it

The "roleplay" part of this MMORPG has more or less been completely axed in favor to make way for 'raiding' (that is, fights against scripted enemies in private instances) and for building ever-higher numbers through shiny loot. It's Diablo but slower and shittier with more restrictions.

hunter marksman can choose some survival abilities as talents
hunter beast master feels the same but they dont need to charge a shot to get focus anymore.

Because it's built on a 15 year old RTS engine. Frankly, it's amazing they got ragdoll physics to work, even if they only used it like four times so far.
