Morrigan was one of the most unrealistic characters in video games in spite of being incredibly in-depth. It's unbelievable that someone who grew up under such such shitty conditions, turned out to be such a shitty person, and happened to have a heart of gold to unearth. Second time through I was like, "I'm going to make this woman love me" and from an artistic standpoint she never should have only half-way warmed up to you at best.
That being said, she was fucking incredible. She pressed every fantasy fulfillment escapism-in-fiction button I had. She was too perfect. Just too fucking perfect.

The Witcher games handle adventurer fucking better than any other game, in that it's generally just "Hey you're immune to disease and sterile and you're a wiry monster slayer let's fuck" rather than retarded romance, and the actual romances are better than most games in that they're not complete tumblerina gigglesquee neckbeard stroking fodder, but they still lean on that side.
Annah however was done well. You don't fuck, which wouldn't make sense with all the shit going on, and you don't even get particularly affectionate. She just gradually becomes friendlier with you, and the final big payoff at the end of the game is she says she loves you during the final confrontation.

I loved Ciel and Zero. Of course, they never ended up together, but were one of the first examples of Human-Reploid romance, alongside Neige and Craft. Both Zero and Craft sacrificed their futures for the sake of a world where Humans and Reploids co-exist, and then you have those Human-Reploid hybrids in the ZX series.
It is sad to think Ciel died alone in the end.
