You know, I'm not someone that's usually bothered by this sort of thing. I know it's a fictional setting and blah blah blah. But do scenes like these absolutely ruin anyone else's sense of immersion?
Drake is well established in the Uncharted games as being pretty much a one man army. He's killed more men than he can possibly remember, he's bested pretty much every opponent in hand to hand combat (including some huge buff as fuck dudes in Uncharted 3).
So for me to believe that some random scrawny black chick can just easily manhandle him without any effort is just too much, even for a work of fiction. Why the fuck to they keep releasing games with this pandering nonsense and when will it end?

I mean I can usually deal with man vs woman fights in fiction if there is some equal ground. Sure they're not realistic, but it's tolerable if they exchange some equal blows and they both end up getting fucked up by the end of it. While it's true that she was in the marketing and we were all preparing for the generic tough girl trope that every action game and movie has these days, these fights clearly show that they decided to take it even farther.
I would have absolutely no problem with these fights if she was simply a tough opponent that you overcome through gameplay or qtes. But the webms clearly show that they're okay with shoving the player into an unwinnable situation and that we just seem to have to grin and bear it.
Not only does this start to give ammunition to the people that claim that Uncharted games become more like movies with every game (since let's be honest these are just interactive cutscenes with no way to alter the outcome besides maybe dying), but to me it proves that Naughty Dog's entire attitude and the people that they pander to has really changed over the last couple of years.

Games can benefit form occasionally doing this, it helps break the player down if he or she is already immersed. The only problem people have with it is because it's a girl doing it, and I'm in different to it, if the story and context makes sense so be it but I will say it's far more realistic if a male was over powering him.

Metal Gear Solid is pretty much military anime, I don't think anyone expects even a little bit of realism from it. Uncharted 4 is trying really hard to come of as some super serious deep character study about Nathan Drake (just read some of the reviews or watch some of those scenes of Drake hanging out with his wife, going to work, etc). Scenes like these just come off as immersion breaking even in a game full of already unrealistic situations.
You also have to remember that in MGS 3 Big Boss eventually surpasses the boss and this was meant to give the player the sense of satisfaction of overcoming a tough opponent. If what's been said so far in this thread is to be believed, this never happens in Uncharted 4. Nadine was pretty much only made to kick Nathan Drake's ass in every scene that they're in together.

Well I recall such a study on some top Olympic athletes that suggested a mutated gene caused some people to have better performance due to the way it interacted with their muscles, one varient improving sprint, and one improving endurance. That's why I was thinking that there might have been a similar study here.
I think this might be the study I was thinking of, but it appears there's been quite a few more papers about genetics and athletic performance, and a few pop-sci books about the subject so it's a little hard to search right now. Still an interesting subject to be sure that will take off as genomic sequencing becomes cheaper and cheaper.
