After seeing it's going to be a premium priced game that is going to have gated content and microtransactions atop that initial premium pricetag, I hope it fails, which it might since Blizzard.
I think the game is kind of fun, if a bit overpriced for the current number of heroes and maps.

Fun game, more fun with friends.
Balance seems pretty good for the most part, but everyone seems to have one or two heroes that they think is the most broken. For most people, it's Bastion, though just about any Offense hero can wreck his shit if they get around him.
For me, the broken hero is Roadhog. He one-shots squishier heroes, can take a ton of damage, and can heal himself for a ton of health fairly often. Only bad Roadhogs with no healer support seem to ever die. I'm sure other people would disagree and have some viable strategy for killing him.
The only major issue I see with the game is longevity. I just played for about 2 hours with some friends and had a great time, but will that continue for more than a couple weeks before someone gets distracted by some other game? I don't see any reason why not.

How simplified the characters are and how quick the matches go I can't believe this game isn't F2P. They even have a shitty crate system to keep the revenue up as they balance the game and add new maps, modes, and characters.

I played a game as Mercy when 3 of my team members were playing sniper characters. I was constantly flying back and forth, healing them to full and moving onto the next target. Mercy is more of a defensive hero, Lucio is always the one you want when you're on offense.

I don't think it is, it returns all projectiles. You actually have to deflect the arrows themselves before they turn into a the dragon. It's not that difficult to not launch your ult when your face to face with a fucking Genji, any Hanzo that this happens to deserves it.

Little to no feedback for hits, this is basic FPS design I have no idea how this got past early playtesting
Movement system is boring and slow, no matter who you are a huge amount of time is just spent slowly walking waiting for your movement ability to recharge or just slowly walking with no ability.
None of the movement abilities really build up any sort of momentum or anything, not fun at all.
Actual characters/classes sometimes literally just have one weapon and only like 2 or 3 usable abilities sometimes, is this a joke?

The whole game design is based on keeping casuals playing, which is why they have no real scoreboard because they don't want people to see how bad their doing. You see this reflected in the other parts of the design too.

There is zero real depth and I have no idea how this is going to last, other then rabid blizzard fanboys I guess. The only people I can see who think this is good are people who don't really play shooters.

Well designed games should function well for people who just want to relax an play casually, or for people who actually study the systems and invest time into understanding it. Having a high skill ceiling.
When your skill ceiling is 1 foot high like over watch it's just not fun.
There is a spectrum between casual mode and hardcore, and the fun (even playing casually) is gradually doing better and getting a better grasp on the game. In overwatch that will take like a day and you wont really have anything to develop and just keep repeating the same thing over and over again. But when the skill ceiling is high your skills continually increase and have to be maintained and it's super satisfying. Gimping everyone to make them unable to do anything interesting because having someone who can just walk over casual players scares off kids and weak minded people.
It just creates a playing field where you improve and learn and makes even casual play more interesting because you have to deal with a larger variety of situations.

DVa is good but tricky to use. It's fairly clear she relies a lot on knowing the map and what her abilities to with each other character. She's going to seem like trash in an alpha with such a limited play window.

You gotta rethink how you play her. For a second, ignore the crazy NERF THIS potgs because the ult is kind of a gimmick. Take a look at the rest of her kit.
For one thing, you have a ton of health, and part of it is yellow. The yellow means each projectile that hits you does less damage, so it's fucking hard for rapid fire characters like Soldier 76 and Tracer to take you down.
You also have a close range gun that forces you to stand still, boosters that let you reposition with a super short cooldown, a wall that catches projectiles, and the ability to turn into a cute girl when you die.
Basically, you want to use all these things to get right up in peoples faces and bully the shit out of them. Personally, I fly in, get right up in their faces, and start shotgunning. Rapid fire guys I have no trouble with, but if a heavy hitter like Pharah or Roadhog shows up to burst you down, use your shield to cover your retreat. Oh, you're also great at plopping your fat robot ass on an objective and being impossible to remove. Or attacking from weird angles thanks to your boosters.
Now, when you die you become a squishy little girl with a pistol. Shoot enough people with the pistol and you'll fill up your meter for another mech. You're not super useful in pilot form, but it's a hell of a lot better than dying and having to walk all the way back. Depending on how ballsy you are, you can get another mech back in 10-20 seconds and resume the bullying.
Now, back to the ult. The bomb is super loud and slow so it tends to be more of an area denial weapon unless you get lucky. As for how to deliver said bomb, just do what you normally do. Jet in, fire a few shots, bomb when the opportunity arises. With some practice you can combine the jets and the bomb, and fling your exploding mech long distances so enemies will have less time to avoid it.
That's pretty much it. Oh, except that she relies a lot on the team to do more serious damage and long range fighting.

The easy answer is to just keep spraying them. The range on your gun is surprisingly long and unless it's Tracer they're unlikely to get away. Plus, most non-tank enemies will panic and try to run after being frozen, so freezing them again will make them panic even more.
The hard answer is to try lining up icicle headshots. The timing window for this is really small though, and might give them an opportunity to try some shit.
The really douchey answer is to get better at using ice walls and pillars to escape from fights that go badly. People will hate you.

I loved playing as Reaper against twink heroes like Tracer/Widower/etc. They always try to ruin to the health pack around the corner, but in there waiting to give them a shell to the face. Or when the entire team is in a capture point and I rush in for an ult, everyone either dies or is almost dead ripe to be shot in the face around the corner.

Smash Brothers dropped momentum-based movement from Melee to Brawl and fucking ruined everything. Now Overwatch takes TF2 and removes all the momentum and it just feels lazy. Playing Lucio, hitting his speed boost, then jumping was one of the most disappointing things ever.
Momentum is fun. Stop removing it from your games.

Yes. I've left them feedback on this before..They need to make the text that describes the potg's classification much more noticable. What you did was a "Shutdown" which is exactly as your described. You saved your team from an enemy ultimate. It can also apply to killing a Mercy holding a rez.
Marksman is another category which is obviously for exceptional accuracy(Widowmakers have to make a series of headshots to get it. It's more lenient for other classes).
I think there's a "Savior" classification as well which is supposed to be for the support primarily like a big Mercy rez on the capture point.

The hitboxes are fucking massive and it feels like there's some kind of aim-assist (especially on Widow) to cater to the retards who actually opt to use a controller on the PC version.

You forgot to mention that the freedom of movement in Melee opened up glitches which made 2/3 of the characters irrelevant.
Movement tricks are nice in arena games like Tribes or Quake where everyone (more or less) has access to the same abilities, but they can completely ruin character based games if they're not designed carefully.
Not even TF2 got away scot free, the competitive scene is completely based around jumping soldiers because that ability makes them so much better than most of the other classes.

Almost all of the ultis can be shut down. For most of the characters it doesn't make them invincible, just keep shooting them like usual.
The only ones that are completely unstoppable are Tracer's bomb, Zen's heal, and Mercy's revive. The rest are either countered by taking cover, killing the guy, or are passive ults that don't directly damage the enemy.

I dislike that it only has the two game modes, king of the hill and escort.
King of the hill being the classic King of the Hill, but 2 out of 3. Escort I'm thinking is based on the FPS that was on steam a while ago, where you could control a mech, and there was the gameplay mode of escorting the tank while other team tried to defend, which I feel is based on the TF:C flag move mode, where there is a flag to be delivered from point A to B, but only team A can pick up or move the flag.
Overall it's pretty good, not P2W yet, but knowing blizzard it will be very soon.

It's too much depended on teamwork and counters. The worst offender is probably though that there is only 6vs6. They basically made assfaggots: the FPS. They want esports so badly but they forgot that you kinda have to first create a community and have public servers.
