This to be honest.
I played it and enjoyed it the first time around, it was fun, but nothing really amazing.
Then I replayed it for the pacifist route, and got kinda bored of it, although its ending gave me enough closure to feel satisfied.
But I never felt the need to hoard fanart or fantasize about the characters. After my second playthrough I was totally done with this game and its world.
At most I would say that it was a fine and unique experience, but nothing as amazing to warrant how popular and memed up it became.

This game was my childhood. It's still pretty good, even today. I think it was on the Gamecube first, but I played it on Xbox as a kid. I've heard its been ported to the Wii under the more retarded title "Pitfall: The Big Adventure" but I haven't played that version
It was basically a 3d platformer reimagining of the classic Pitfall series. While it certainly has its faults, it also has fun gameplay, interesting environments, a wide variety of enemies, a unique style of humor and a somewhat goofy aesthetic that looks more "stylistic" than outdated to me.
If only more people knew about this game, it could finally get the respect it deserves.

One of the few games in recent memory that kept me engaged and entertained for a complete play through in one sitting. It ain't perfect, but it has a fantastic sense of immersion and a good story. Worth a purchase on sale for the single player, though multiplayer is ded. Also, dat soundtrack.
