This game had so much potential to be awesome but it was just way too rushed trying to catch up to smash bros.
If they had just done the game in seasons with season 1 focusing on the ps1 roster and focusing on quality characters rather than quantity it wouldve worked. I mean smash only started with just a dozen or so characters.
And having crash and spyro in the game is a minimum, no point in doing it if you cant get those two off activision.

Game got pretty good after the last patch. Balance issues were addressed and I liked that it had post game support for as long as it did.
The only "bad" things were the predictable setups that everyone learned and spammed with certain characters, like Raiden, Cole etc. Turned into fishing nonstop.

every character, save for Parappa has their moveset taken from their games, or inspired heavily on moves from their games, Parappa's may have been original, but it all comes from his game.
the movesets in this game are better handled, character wise, than in smash bros since half of their movesets are just standard punchs and kicks
dont believe me, checkout the Playstation All-Stars History where they go through every character's moveset and origin of the move, apart from the guy's voice its really interesting
