Gameplay mechanics are good, certain moments are definitely memorable and the usage of save files and that ballmalarkey was quite nice, however, it has some major flaws. Its a way trip on a 1 way game, once you see it, once ya got your dose of feels or whatever, it completely loses its potency. Its the kind of thing you do once and it feels great, but go any further and the reward is likely null or barely worth the effort. See, what it does well it does well, but shit like Alphys pissed me off, the whole gaster bollocks was a cocktease, no updates, and generaly only the bosfights are memorable.

As far as I can tell, he either cannot Piss Off enemies or has a very low chance to do so on his Puke/Super Puke. Any Joy mutant fight where I relied on him on keeping them pissed ended with at least one party member having his head bitten off.

Lack of interesting party members was Joyful's weakest link. All battles amounted to managing her hp and hitting the circle for an extra effect. There was also a considerable lack of fear when facing Joy mutants as they offer no real risk compared to their encounters in Painful, as there are no team members to lose from instant kill attacks.

Didn't ya get it, in a game where you can simply not kill anything, you killed everything, all for the sake of both completion and seeing the numbers rise. Destroy this world and move on to the next, you completed the game since you admited you only wanted to play the game as a typical RPG and ignore the new mechanics, you got to the max level and beat the final boss, its not literal or meant to be interpreted as real, but as symbolic, much like OFF.
