Let's be honest, this game would have been much better if they had actually allowed you to, as the player, work out some way to use your fucking OP powers to save the day and have a really fucking happy ending where the crisis is averted and nothing bad happens and your waifu lives and you get to lesbian make out over the perfectly intact town as the credits begin to roll. And then Max and Chloe are just making out in the background for the entire length of the credits. This ending would have been completely unexpected, I mean, I didn't for a second think that it was going to happen. You don't set up some feelsy emotional game like this and then NOT have a difficult choice at the end. But I wanted to be a big damn hero for fuck's sake. It would have been hilariously satisfying for there to be some sort of secret third option you only got if you worked out some complex confusing thing.
Or, here's the thing. Max could clearly go back to the point where Chloe gets shot and then not use her powers to save her, and everything is fine except Chloe dies (instantly from a stomach shot from probably a 9mm but let's ignore that). Why does it never occur to Max to just SAVE HER WITHOUT USING HER FUCKING POWERS. Like shit, maybe richcrazyfuckface wouldn't have pulled a gun and shot her if someone else was standing right there. I played the game several months ago, so maybe there's a reason, but I mean come on, if she can go back to that point once, could she go back again? I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but she has the picture right there, right? You don't need time traveling powers to surprise kick someone in the balls. Considering the climactic decision happened on a cliff overlooking the ocean I wouldn't be surprised if they originally planned to have Max jump off, but then figured that it would make the game simply too much of a Donnie Darko rip-off.
Why doesn't Max just Groundhog Day the whole week repeatedly until she manages to get a timeline where she fixes everything and manages to convince the town a massive storm is coming (it really doesn't do THAT much damage to begin with), or at least replay through the week to fuck around with having time traveling powers and shit? Eventually she could get something going like when you've played through Fallout 1 or Morrowind or whatever 50 times, so you know exactly where to go and what to do to get optimal loot and shit, rush that power armor straight up sorta deal. The only bad thing that could happen is the storms and shit keep happening afterwards anyway, but the entire game is built around building up to the final day of the week with the big bad storm, so it'd be kind of weird if shit continued after that. If you save Chloe that happens anyway, right? So why not go back and try to save the town and shit too?

When Jefferson killed her, storm was still coming so that means if she got killed by train crash or gun shot, storm will have been still coming. So basically, universe is saying that Max shouldn't have used her powers in the bathroom. But problem is she'd already used it and going back,doing nothing is stupid as fuck. If we look at game's logic, this only can delay the storm.
