Perhaps it it too early, but I'm legitimately optimistic for Infinite Warfare. I'm really into sci-fi-esque stuff and this looks right up my alley. I honestly believe after watching the interviews that they are really pouring their collective hearts and souls into this and trying to shake up the series like they did with 4. I hope it is really good. It will probably be the first one I actually enjoy in all its entirety since MW2. The past few ones Ive only rented for the the single-player campaigns. All of which were still enjoyable though, with the excpetion of BO2 which actually had a good MP but as well as the SP. Really, If you got rid of the cancerous community, it would probably be better.
On the other hand, after watching the trailers and listening to the Devs, I'm really not interested in BF1. It honestly looks like its going to be another formulaic BF experience with the setting in WW1 this time. Lets also not forget this is the same Dev team that made that abomination that is EA Battlefront, which was only successful because it sold itself on its shiny visuals and the nostalgia and brand recognition of older players.
But yet, all the BF drones will lick their EA overlords and line the streets to buy the game and say its the best thing ever.

Riding storm 1 might suck, but honestly liked killing floor 2 kinda. Plus vietnam has never had a realism game set for it. I read it. Of course strategies evolved and adapted because they were not all retarded. But a lot of mistakes were made, leading at the beginning to raging moving assaults which were ineffective, and even when the conflict became static with the use of trenches, the whole strategy was to storm the adverse trenches to try to cease them, when defence is almost always more deadly and effective.
It was not before the end of the war with the use of tanks and Sturmbattalion that they managed to recover mobility to try to make decisive attacks.
Do I have to tell you that the western front barely moved during the whole conflict ? Both sides tried to bleed each other to no end with no concrete results.

This is the E3 trailer for this game, notice how destructible the environment is, and look at that again on release and how that was non-existent in the actual game.
This "WW1" game will play just like a WW2 game except now we have trenches. It will be hardly be authentic to WW1. They simply can't make a game passably true to how WW1 really was and have it be fun and balanced to the mainstream audience.
Prepare to be sorely dissapointed.
