>>336733464

>>
>>336734301
H-how? Unlike the plastic shit, you can easily bend and loosen the headband as much as you like. Velour pads are like pillows too.
>>
>>336734493
If you're thinking of doing any serious studio mixing, I wouldn't recommend anything Beyerdynamic. All of them have a pretty big soundstage and none are really neutral (not to mention I just dislike them for shoddy build quality as well, from personal experience). Can't say anything about the AT-MSR7 though, I know nothing.
>>
>>336733463
That's pretty damn pricey, can you not import headphones from USA or anything? I dunno how the aussie headphone market goes. HD558 and DT770 are decent headphones that might be in a similar range. What kinda music do you listen to? The M40's aren't particularly bad but they're very bass heavy.

No idea, I bend the headband until it's flat but it regains its clamping force after a while and becomes incredibly uncomfortable if not painful to wear

I've bought a pair of Sony MDR Z7 headphones as well but have the same problem, so I've now upgraded my speakers to a pair of Adam A7X monitors
>>
>>336735002
It's supposed to be a revision of the M50x's, as well as the custom studio is a revision of the custom one. I'm not going to do any "serious" mixing. just some arrangements for my band

>>336735330
They're neutral. If you listen to beats by dre, then yeah of course they'll feel light on bass - But the truth of the matter is that the bass is very tight and punchy. Compared to most stuff you hear these days, they'll feel light on bass, but that's because bass is always artificially increased.

Are any of the normally good (audiotechnica/sennheiser) brand "gaming" headsets worth anything? Would I be better off just going with normal headphones?

I know gaming headphones are usually gimmicky bad (razer/logitech etc) but they can't be too bad from good headphone manufacturers, right?

Why would you not just buy headphones and then buy an attachable mic? But to answer your question, a lot of manufacturers offer attachments to their headphones when you order, you can just add your own that way. Or some sell their mainline headphones + a mic as a headset under a different name.
>>
Got these for casual wear for $15 (which is full price for them). By no means are they anywhere close to being audiophile headphones, but they're more comfortable than my X12s so I really don't care.

I do have some 668Bs lying around, but those are physically painful to use for more than 5 minutes, if that.

I use a Modmic for voice.
>>
>>336740096

>>
>>336740363
I'm lazy and would like everything to be one unit for some reason, so I was curious. The non-headset pair I was interested in getting has an attachable mic you can buy, but I've never really asked about proper brand headsets before.
>>
>>336735026

Problem is that most "gayman" stuff is marked up about 50% for the "quality that gamers deserve".

Source: everything Razer makes.
>>
>>336741017
Sennheiser/audio technica do gayman headsets, so i thought it was worth asking about. I'll probably just end up buying the Beyer C1P's I got recommended + attachable mic.

>>336741228
That's probably the best way to go.

I honestly haven't tried any new pads, since my ears hit the inside of the headphones themselves and it hurts quite a lot after a while.

Maybe it's because I have mutant ears. It might also explain why earbuds just don't stay inside.

Recently bought the Sennheiser PC363D from Amazon for a really good price (160€) They are usually something between 189 - 220.

Still don't know if I'll keep them because 7.1 gives me that seashell/barrel sensation. Not too impressed desu. (The left membran also vibrates audioble with heavy bass sounds which is annoying, the replacement I got does the same thing) I feel for that headset surround sound meme. Senpai

Stereo sound is alright but not any better than my old sennheiser headset I bought in 2009. (PC 166)
