I think the clutch rings do affect elemental damage on weapons. IIRC, 40 INT + Magic Clutch + MLGS makes it go from 519 damage to 570 damage (or something like that).

I dont like how you cant play this game as a sorcery caster.
You need the crystal scroll for any decent spells but to get that you need to beat Dragon Slayer Armour which is impossible with just Great Heavy Soul Arrow (soul spear is straight garbage, waste of mana)
Also the magic infusion for weapons is straight shit, you cant use great magic weapon so there is literally no point.

a luck build is god tier. If you want to farm, respec into a luck build, slap carthus rogue on Anri's straight sword or hollow warden twinblades with an offhand hollow weapon, and go to town. If you actually feel like switching back after that for whatever reason then you can respec back after you're done farming.

Currently running a simple Dex build that may expand onto some Int down the line. Main weapons are Great Scythe, Dual Kats, andFarron GS.Might try out some luck scaling stuff but it's still my first run and I'm trying to keep it nice and simplistic. I cannot stand the way the Exile Greatsword looks, and it absolutely infuriates me that it has so much more AR than the other curved greatswords, since the Murakumo has been my main go-to in every Dark Souls game.

Greataxe is harder to use since you only got vertical chops and the rolling attack is shit.
Also, Gothhard's are easily the best of the twin weapons but the drumsticks can still be fun. Just be sure of your range with them.

it what i use as well for my herald, along with the herald helm + chest, and knight gloves. it's tough but the herald set as a whole is just far too good to pass up. Once you get the elite knight set, the legs work much better, just hang in there

Is there any real advantage to dual wielding or keeping weapons on your off-hand aside from parrying? I want to try doing a dual crossbow character since there doesn't seem to be much reason to only 2-hand a crossbow.
