Hanamura attackers side have 3 doors and and then splits off into about 4 paths, ultimately coming into the 2 possible entryways into the first point.
I guess defenders side only have one entrance to the first point, usually when the enemy overtakes you on that it's hard to contest but the thing is if the capture point is already occupied they aren't going to be looking at that entrance they will be waiting by the bell(?) instead. At that point you now have 4 openings and the roles are reversed. Thing is in Hanamura first point everyone will see you coming so it's more about a big push rather than being sneaky compared to other maps like Hollywood.

It's a list made with serious team play in mind. You will only use Mercy if you have something like a Pharah or McRee that you just follow around. For all other purposes you're gonna Lucio. Symmetra is top as a support not a healer, so you can't even compare the 2. You're not running Symmetra without a healer.
Soldier is the best all around offense character I don't about your autoaim memes. He's good even without ult. Reaper is more valuable than tracer in most situations.

You use Mercy if you have a strong tank line and some other situations where she can channel her ult quickly. Her heal is also very strong compared to Lucio's, which is barely as good as her passive heal unless he AMPS IT UP. This means that Lucio's team won't be able to slug it out against high DPS enemies after his cooldown is blown.
Also, if it's not a defense point map then Lucio is even weaker since his aura range is actually not that big.

You use Whole Hog for the ridiculous knockback over a long period of time, not for damage. If you spray it at a choke point it becomes near impossible for enemies to come through, or you sweep the enemies off a control point, etc.

A tank line in a good team usually just means a rein or a winston, both of which have ways to avoid damage with their shields. Mercy excels in keeping a single person alive, which also boosting their damage if they are topped off. Mercy-Pharah used to be meta but died off when people just started using Lucio, Reaper and 67 as a core. Yeah Lucio's aura isn't as bursty heal wise but with this setup it's all about endurance.
