I don't know what to do or level, everytime an overlord dies i barely leave a dent to his hp.

best advice I can give you is to get the Final Sprint skill. It increases your base stats every turn. During battle, you will eventually max out 999 starts. Also get the Solid Mind skill. If you don't walk, you can maintain up to 200% damage increase. Just use skills like flame dragon to move around the battlefield.
Then focus on increasing attack and speed... at least to 350 attack and 300 speed. And lots of MP. The rest is learning Trillion's patterns and avoid getting hit in the areas he's about to attack.

hot spring events are random. Shit's all rng. I get them eventually when I go through new game+. Still got like 3-4 endings to go before I get all the endings...

It's RNG, if you're trying to play you'll be playing through characters enough you'll be bound to get them. Otherwise you can save scum, resting/interact has a lot less overall events so you can speed it up a bit by just doing those.
